Dahi Kabab
Dahi kebabs are a good snack for kids, and also a party starter, as it is not deep fried. Adding quinoa/ oats ,spinach and paneer makes it very nutritious.
Ingredients :
Hung curds- 250 gms
Jeera pwd-1/2 tsp
Grated paneer- 100 gms
Onions finely chopped- 1/2 medium sized
Fried kaju finely diced – 3 tsps
Fried onions crushed -2 tsps
Salt to taste
Coriander finely sliced
Chilly powder-1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste-1/4 th tsp
Flax seeds- 1 tsp(optional)
Sesame seeds-1 tsp( optional)
Bread crumbs-4 tbsps
Palak finely sliced-1/2 cup
Sooji-2 tsps
Pudina/ mint- a few lvs
Boiled Quinoa or oats-3 tsps
Oil – 2 tsps
Date chutney
Method
I generally make when there is a lot of left over curds. In a wide bowl/ plate add all the above ingredients, Gently mix . For oats, leave the mixture fore some time and then mix well. If the mixture is soft, add a little more bread crumbs. Make patties and place them on a hot greased tawa/ pan. After a few minutes……. turn the Kabab and fry on both sides till lightly golden brown in color. Serve hot with date chutney.
Boil 1 cup quinoa with 2 cups water, and let it cook for 5 whistles.
