In this video, I show you how easy it is to make a 2 pound loaf of homemade bread from fresh grains. All you need is 7 simple ingredients, a grain mill, and a bread machine. Grinding wheat is not a hard thing to do, it is much healthier than anything store bought, and it will save you money.
This recipe makes super soft, kid approved, can be altered to be vegan or vegetarian, and takes less than 7 minutes to set up.

Recipe:
2 Cups of HARD Red Wheat (unmilled)
1 Cup of HARD White Wheat (unmilled)
1.5 cups of hot water
1/3 cup of olive oil
1/3 cup of honey (maple syrup instead)
2 teaspoons of salt
1 egg (optional)
1 tablespoon of yeast
In your bread machine, add in this order: hot water, oil, honey, salt, egg, freshly milled wheat, and make a crater for the yeast to go in. Place in the bread machine, and the function I use is under homemade since it preheats for 15 minutes, kneads for 20, rises for 45 minutes the first time, then knead, then rise for 50 minutes, then bake for 36 minutes.
