The golden hour calls for snacking. Hunger pangs at this time lead to unhealthy munching. This takes a toll on your health. A variety of trail mixes are available in the market which are high in taste and low in nutrition. The key is to strike a balance between health and taste.

Healthy Trail Mix
Ingredients
Chana and Chana Dal Roasted 6 tbsp
Sunflower 2 tbsp
Pumpkin seeds 2 tbsp
Almonds 2 tbsp
Walnuts 2 tbsp
Black Raisins 1 per person (if BSL is under control)
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients and store them in an airtight container. 2 tbsp serving at once per person is recommended.

Mukhwas
Ingredients
Flax seeds 2 tbsp
Sesame 2 tbsp
Sunflower seeds 1/2 tbsp
Pumpkin seeds 1/2 tbsp
Saunf or fennel seeds 2 tbsp
Preparation
Heat the pan.
Roast 2 tbsp saunf or fennel seeds and keep them separately.
Turn off the gas and add 2 tbsp flax seeds and 2 tbsp sesame seeds. Add 1/2 tbsp seeds (melon, pumpkin or sunflower seeds, as per your availability). Roast together in the warm pan.
Add roasted saunf to the mixture. Mix well and store.
