RECIPES:

DOUBLE CRUNCH BARS:
BOTTOM LAYER: Brownies of your choice. (either a brownie mix or made from scratch in a 9″x13″ pan.
SECOND LAYER: Marshmallows. Spread mini marshmallows (approximately 1/2 package) on top after the brownies are baked and put back in oven for 3 minutes.
THIRD LAYER:
1 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tablespoon butter
Melt the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and butter. Add 1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies. After the brownies are cooled, top with the third layer.
* I like to double the third layer for extra crunchy bars. 😊

SAUSAGE GRAVY:
Brown ground sausage. Season and thicken with flour. (sprinkle flour over the sausage once it is browned. Stir and add milk until it is the desired consistency.
BISCUITS:
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup butter, cold, cut up in little chunks
1 cup buttermilk or regular milk (I use a little less when using regular milk since it is thinner)
3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Whisk together dry ingredients. Cut in butter using a fork or pastry blender. (or even by hand) until the mixture resembles wet sand.
Slowly add milk until the mixture is the right consistency. (you don’t want it too runny) Add cheese and mix.
Drop by spoonful on a baking sheet. (I use a cookie scoop)
Bake for approximately 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

TAPIOCA:
4 1/2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup tapioca
1/4 cup sugar
6 oz. or 1/2 cup jello of your choice
8 oz. cool whip

Bring water and salt to a boil in a kettle. (I use a 4 quart kettle) Add tapioca and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat for approximately 25 minutes or until tapioca is clear. (I like to stir it now and then, but some of it will stick to the bottom of the kettle anyway)
After the tapioca is relatively clear, add the jello and sugar. Cool. Add cool whip and fruit of your choice.
* This is also good with just the fruit, and omitting the cool whip.

BURGERS:
SAUCE:
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup honey
2 teaspoon mustard
1 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/8 teaspoon pepper

HAMBURGER MIXTURE:
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
salt and pepper to taste

Combine all sauce ingredients. For the meat mixture, combine all ingredients, plus 1/4 cup of the barbecue sauce. Form into patties and grill, basting the burgers with the remainder of the barbecue sauce.
