Today I speak about people on low calorie diets.
I have been asked recently by a few different ladies if being on a 1200 or 1300 calorie plan is healthy as they feel very hungry all the time, I also had a guy ask me the same who was on 1500 calories per day.
My answer is always going to be the same as its something I have asked alot over the years.
There is no future in a low calorie diet as you’ll just rebound once the plan is over,
Your satiation hormones ( leptin and ghrelin ) which are the hormones that regulate hunger and fat gain will be all out of wack because you’ve been starving your body of nutrients for a prolonged period of time that when you go back eating more you’ll put all the weight back on with interest because your body doesn’t know how to metabolize it until such times as those hormones regulate.
Please please if your following a plan do your homework on the person or organisation first are they qualified?
Do they have a proven track record of sustainable weight loss?
There are so many great coaches out there will get you in great shape please dont be fooled by the ones in it for a quick buck.
