Today I made this amazing fish pie, and it was delicious…so perfect for this time of year! Sometimes referred to as Admirals pie, Mariners pie, fisherman’s pie, ocean pie or simply as fish pie 🙂 We prefer simple smoked haddock in ours, but you can use whatever fish you like, salmon is very popular. Add things like frozen peas, corn, leek, spring onion, parsley, dill…MAKE IT YOUR OWN!
I’ve listed everything I used down below in case you want to give it a go for yourself 🙂

Serves 5-6 people
1kg floury potatoes such as Maris Piper, King Edwards or Desire
A handful of grated cheese (I used cheddar)
A splash of cream
600g White fish, we like smoked haddock but whatever fish you prefer
600ml Whole milk
50g Butter (for the sauce)
1 Chopped leek
Handful of chopped parsley
Handful of cooked sweetcorn
2 Tablespoons plain (all purpose) flour
A splash of cream & knob of butter for the mashed potato
***Optional handful of breadcrumbs for the top, I used panko***
