Ingredients:
Ground meat: 500 g (1.10231 lb)
Potatoes: 1 kg (2.2 lb
Red Onion: 2 large pieces
Salt: 1 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper: 1 tsp
Water
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Butter: 50 g (1.7 ounce)
Instructions:
Prepare Potatoes:
Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes for easy mashing.
Boil the potatoes in a large pot for about 20 minutes until soft.
Drain water, mash the potatoes, add 1/2 tsp of salt, and let it cool while preparing the ground beef.
Prepare Onion:
Chop the onion into cubes.
Melt butter in a pan, add onions, and fry for about 10 minutes until golden.
Add ground beef, 1 tsp of salt, and black pepper. Stir until fully cooked.
Assemble and Bake:
Preheat the oven to 380°F/190°C.
Grease a 24 x 30 cm (9.4 x 11.8 in) tray with olive oil.
Layer the tray with mashed potatoes, followed by the ground beef and onion mixture, and another layer of potatoes.
Bake for 20-30 minutes until golden and delicious.
