Here is a healthy breakfast porridge idea that I’m enjoying now whilst pregnant, you can make this even when your not though! This quick recipe includes your healthy fats, one portion of your five a day, protein and carbs that you need to set you up for the day.
Ingredients:
– Oats
– Milk
– Protein powder
– Cinnamon
– Unrefined sugar,
– Banana
– Chia seeds
– Almond flakes
Method:
– Put the oats and cinnamon into a bowl and mix well before adding the milk
– Microwave for roughly 3 mins
– Whilst the porridge is cooking, put the pan on, chop the banana and fry until golden
– Once the porridge is cooked add in the protein powder, unrefined sugar
– By now the banana should be cooked and ready to pop on top of the porridge
– Sprinkle on chia seeds and almond flakes
