This Banana Prune Bread is a healthier alternative to traditional banana bread. It uses whole wheat flour for added fiber, applesauce in place of oil to reduce fat content, and natural sweeteners like maple syrup. Come make heart healthy banana bread with me the heart D Edition I’ve included all the ingredients you need here to get you started then you’ll need a large mixing bowl and mash two very ripe bananas the rip they are the sweeter your banana bread will be I added half a cup of unsweetened
Applesauce then some dice pitted prunes I used maple syrup for sweetener but you could use honey instead eggs are then used to bind everything together but if you don’t eat eggs try to make flax seed eggs instead then we’ll start with the dry ingredients that’s whole wheat flour
Baking soda salt cinnamon and you can even add vanilla for flavor as well then you mix everything together once mixed you have the option of adding nuts I like adding nuts to banana for the texture and I chose walnuts here because they are rich and Omega-3s then you’ll want to preheat
Your oven to 350° and bake for about 40 to 50 minutes once that’s done allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before slicing it this banana prune bread is a healthier alternative to traditional banana bread hope you enjoy
