Go do leg day I’m meeting my friend and we’re going to work out usually I do like a workout split I listen to mind pump a lot the Mind pump podcast and they really advocate for more uh full body workouts I’ve tried that um and I’ll
Itely try it again in the past in in the future I mean um I’ll definitely it’s the morning I’ll definitely try that in the future too but um I just find that when I have a workout split I end up like I end up going to my workout where if I have a
Full body workout if I can’t go a day or I don’t want to go a day I’ll be like oh it’s fine I worked out that muscle group yesterday or 2 days ago or whatever so this way it just like helps it’s like a mental thing for me me so yeah we’re
Going to go do lower body today and then because it’s just so beautiful I’m going to try to just Embrace as much as I can of this day I want to take pretzel for a walk at this beautiful Lake and this beautiful Trail so we’re going to do

Basically been doing like 75 hard the only difference that I’m doing is that I counting an Audi book as reading and and I’m drinking 96 o of water instead of 128 because I just that’s just not healthy so that is the plan for the day I’m
Going to bring you along with me and hopefully give you some healthy inspiration I’m going to show you some health healthy recipes I think today I’m going to make my bacon WRA chicken recipe pretty sure um and I put on a cute new outfit um I never wear a color
Like especially to the gym I’m usually like an all black to the gym kind of person but um I’m tired of just like only wearing black so I got this set that’s just like all purple and I feel a little out of my element but it’s okay okay I hate getting behind someone
That’s going so incredibly slow which is funny because I straight up drive like a grandma so you must be going real slow anyway I’ll see you guys at the Gym so I’m starting off my leg day with Romanian deadlifts with a barbell I want to start off by saying I am definitely not a professional but I have been weightlifting for about 6 years on and off and from May of last year to the end
Of the year I actually took a big break from weightlifting because I’d been doing it for so long and kind of just wanted to try some new exercises so since the beginning of this year in January is when I started weightlifting again and I’ve fallen back in love with
It so I prefer doing a lower body and upper body split so today is one of my lower body days so I’m just doing a Romanian deadlift this focuses on your hamstrings and your the lower part of your glutes I also prefer to do this
Just in my socks because if I don’t do it in my socks I should do it in like flatter shoes like Converse or something so then heading over to the leg press so even though I have been lifting very consistently for the last 6 years or well not very consistently but on and
Off I haven’t done the leg press in like 2 years so I’m already cringing at this footage and I’ve already learned a lot so number one what am I doing with my hands I can’t figure it out I move them like three different times number two
I’m locking my knees at the top and I’m definitely not supposed to do that that’s how you can get injured so I’m glad I recorded this because I can look back at this footage and see what I can change so um I am doing a lot of lower
Weight and higher reps right now I am actually about to switch this up and go a little bit heavier again with the program that I’m doing but yeah for all of these exercises I’m doing three sets of 12 to 15 reps then heading over to the hamstring curls again from watching
This footage I can see what I need to change I need to stop letting this thing just like bang against my butt I need to go slower and more controlled which means I could probably go a little bit heavier cuz I am just throwing this
Weight around and I need this to be a lot more controlled cuz it’s it’s a little bit fast and then heading over to this thing I can’t remember if it’s abductor or adductor um I like to lean forward so it can really focus on the outer part of my butt cheek and yeah
These aren’t the most aesthetic thing to watch it’s a it’s a weird exercise but yeah that hits the outer the outer glute and then saving the worst for last Bulgarian split squat SS I hate these I literally hate these um these Target your leg like no other so depending on
How you position the top of your body you can focus more on your glutes or you can focus more on your quads again with these doing three sets of 12 and it’s literally the worst part of the exercise it’s probably my least favorite one but
Does the most sometimes I do abs at the end of the workout sometimes I don’t but most times I do finish with an incline walk I’m trying to do 12 330 but I’m really short I’m only 5’2 so for me right now I’m doing between an 8 and a
10 incline and a 2.5 to 2.8 speed and just keeping my heart rate around 145 beats per minute is my Goal oh BS I don’t know why I’m sweating so much like my hair is actually soaked back here I’m about to put it up into a little clip but I’m so proud of myself for filming that was so much fun and not a big deal like I don’t know why I make

Dog off a leash and let me just say if you’re someone that walks with your dog off a leash stop it unless you’re on private property unless you’re on your own property I don’t care how nice your dog is if your dog is off a leash and that dog comes running up to
My dog my dog’s going to bite your dog um and pretzel is the most friendly thing but she gets very ter teritorial so and so far every time a dog has been off the leash it comes running up to Pretzel so if your dog comes running up to my dog
She bites your dog your dog is most likely going to retaliate and bite my dog back it’s the most annoying thing that just happened on this walk and I just cut it short because I it’s a loop the trail is a loop and I don’t want to
Keep like crossing paths with this dog that’s not on a leash anyway I thought that we could go over some of my favorite self-development books clearly I need to like take a chill pill but I just you know H sometimes I just think that people just
Don’t think things through I want to go over some of my um favorite books because if you’re looking for a new one or you don’t know where to start with like good self-development books I feel like I’ve read so so many that some of them are just a little
Redundant and some don’t really like stick with me but I’ve had a couple that just like really do stick with me so first one is the Power of One More by Ed myette I love this book um I have it here on my little graph I love this book
Because in it he talks a lot about just like going the extra mile doing one more thing um I think it’s more about just that mindset of always being growth-minded and pushing yourself and all of that helps with confidence as well there’s so many other things he talks about um resetting your like
Internal thermostat so humans are designed to be very comfortable even when you get uncomfortable even if it’s a good discomfort your body will always Resort back to being comfortable it’ll Resort back to like what it’s used to so in this he talks about like changing your thermostat so um you have to raise
Your thermostat so that your body now has a new comfortable and that’s how you like level up or whatever he explains it very well I love that book the next one is the mountain is You by Brianna whis I love this book as well this is really good because it helps you take
Accountability and it talks about self-sabotage a lot of times we know that we’re capable of achieving things and setting goals and following through at the same time A lot of times we end up self-sabotaging oursel and making it so that we don’t win and we don’t succeed and so this really addresses
That and really makes you look at yourself and be like like oh yeah I am doing those things I’m actually starting to reread this one right now and I I love that one after that I’m probably going to read um The Power of One More again just because those are those are
Two books that I have read more than once I think I’ve read the power of one more twice and I’m on the second round of reading the mountain is you the next one I know this is actually not very much so about like Health wellness and all of that this is more about
Connecting in with your inner self and your creative part of you even if you don’t think that you’re a very creative person I still think that this would be a really great book for you it’s called the artist way and it’s actually more of like a challenge this was really great
For me last summer when I was going through like my own little internal crisis I’d love to actually do this again um I never finished the 12we course so if you can realistically set out a period of time of 3 months where you know you C you can actually dedicate
Some time to this there are like different tasks that you’re supposed to do every day and then different tasks that you’re supposed to do once a week and it’s supposed to channel your inner artist and it helped me kind of think outside the box of like what my
Possibilities are as a human on this planet I know that sounds so cheesy but like thinking about okay like I chose the makeup route in life which turned into like an online Creator and it’s like sometimes I’m like how did I get here it makes sense but then I’m like
What else could do like I’m there I have so many other things that I’m into and so it kind of helps you dabble in those things and it helps you just think outside the box and try new things and you you have to take yourself on a date
Once a week just to be alone and you journal and I don’t know it was really amazing I’d love to start this again eventually sometime soon um but I highly recommend that even if again you’re not like a Creator or an artist or whatever I still think that that is something
That everyone should explore this one I’ve actually never finished it’s 101 essays that will change the way you think this is also by Brianna whis this I have the physical book and the audio book this is nice to just keep out like on your coffee table and just pick it up
Every now and then and read a couple a couple sentences I think Brianna whis is so wise and a lot of her the things that she writes about and things that she says just really resonates with me and it just comes from such a peaceful place
I really liked this one as well a lot of it too at the time I read when like just the internet was so divisive and it just helped me just remember what like really matters this one’s a classic Atomic Habits by James Clear everybody talks
About this book this I haven’t read in a long time but if I think that I’ve just gotten really good at um keeping my habits this person is being so weird been here since I got here and they’ve been in their car just like stopping riding around and stopping they’re not
Parking they’re just slowly driving around and then they’ll stop not in a parking spot and then just keep going super weird anyway yeah I feel like I’ve developed really good habits I can’t say that it’s because of that book but if you’re struggling to create habits or
Better habits or just even need a little bit of inspiration sometimes I feel like when when you’re doing well and you’re like I’ve got this I’ve got this that’s the time to really dive into these kind of books because then they really help you stay on track instead of only
Listening to them when you’re feeling lost so that’s a good one um the next one is the obstacles the way by Ryan holiday I really liked this one too I don’t think I finished it just because um I have a thing with people’s voices so yeah his voice kind of bothered me a
Little bit but was just really good about like kind of leaning in leaning into the obstacles leaning into the struggle and like that’s when you really like grow the next one is you’re a badass by Jen sincero um this one again is such a classic I can’t even remember what that
One’s about I’ll have to reread it cuz it’s been forever since I read it but that’s another good one and then lastly this one will take you no time to read this is The Four Agreements and this one is great for anybody at any point it’s
Just it kind of helps you just get out of your head and realize that no one else is thinking about you either I can’t remember what the Four Agreements even are let me let me Google them really quick the first one is be impeccable with your word that just
Means speak with Integrity say only what you mean avoid using words to speak against yourself or to gossip about others um the next one is to take is don’t take anything personally nothing others do is because of you what others say and do as a result of their own
Dream or perception of their rules next one is don’t make assumptions find the quiet courage to ask questions and express what you really want and then the last one is always do your best your best is going to change from moment to moment and it will be different when
You’re healthy as opposed to sick um so those I just gave a brief little info about each one um but the book is definitely worth a read I think it only took me like 4 hours to listen to I’m going to head home now it’s time for me to go make some Food yeah here to the good days here to the sorrows if this is a mistake I know about tomorrow I don’t want to fight no more cuz I don’t feel the need no more no just want to make it stop maybe it’s something in the

Hurt but not as my chus is does so Baby by it’s for the best and you know why you got to leave me here right now before we make this deep words it’s going to hurt even more than this Do so for my lunch today I’m going to have some steak and a side of bell peppers with onions this is my favorite side I always have some kind of vegetable on the side of my protein and this has just been my go-to lately so I’ll take about six different bell
Peppers and chop them up and then I’ll also chop up a couple of sweet onions I’ll mix them all up on a pan and season them and I’ll put them in the oven at 400° f for anywhere from 25 minutes to 45 minutes kind of just depends on on
How well done you want your peppers to be you can also do this on the grill I actually think they taste a little bit better on the grill but I feel like the oven is just a little bit more convenient so um as long as they’re
Warmed up I think they taste good but I do prefer a nice Char on them you can even put the broiler on and really hit them with that fiery hot heat to get them really nice and charred up but I like to douse these in olive oil and
Then cover them in garlic salt just keeping it very simple and you don’t have to do a lot even though I’m doing a lot here and then for my steak I’m seasoning it with garlic powder a little bit of pepper and some salt I don’t like
To use garlic salt on my steak because I just feel like it’s a little overpowering so I like to do it separately while the steak is cooking on the grill I’m just heating up some canned green beans I actually just realized that I’m cooking these peppers
For later on tonight so that I don’t have to do it later um but today on the side of my steak I’m just having some green beans so I eat a whole can of green beans these are my favorite and then I douse it in some butter I usually
Do about a tablespoon of butter sometimes times a half a tablespoon of butter of course I add salt it really just depends on my mood and what I’m you know what I feel like eating that day but this is one of my go-to meals it makes me feel so full very satisfied
Very satiated I’m getting really good protein really good carbs and healthy fats I’ve also been really focusing on my water I drink about three of these water bottles a day they’re 32 oz and so I’m just showing you that I’m drinking my Water Now I’m making a little bit of dessert for later you have to kind of make this a little bit ahead of time so that it can chill and get to the right temperature so I will leave all of the recipe directions down below and like measurements and everything because this
Is a little bit more important to get the right measurements but I do 3 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream per serving here I’m doing two servings so it does look like a lot um sometimes like if I really want a dty dessert I’ll eat two servings but it’s very filling
Because this is a very high fat high carb meal so once I’ve measured out the cream then I whip it up to make some whipped cream basically and then I add the cream cheese I did soften that in the microwave you could just like leave it out so that it softened whichever you
Prefer and then I’m adding this perfect keto chocolate collagen this stuff is so good it’s so delicious so per serving you just use one scoop again I’m doing two scoops because I’m doing two servings and then you whip that up in with the mixture as well and oh it’s so
Good it’s so good it tastes just like chocolate mousse so if you’re going to eat it right now you want to put it in the freezer for 15 minutes but if you’re going to eat it later I would do the 15 minutes and then take it out and put it
In the fridge if you want it to be more like ice cream you can just leave it in the freezer and it will harden like an ice cream but I personally prefer the m moosey texture so if you like that as well make sure you take it out of the
Freezer and put it back into the fridge I’m on another walk because why not suck up all of this beautiful beautiful weather this lighting over here is much better um I saw some people walking behind me so and I see them all the time on the trail so hopefully uh
Hopefully they’re not right behind me watching me film myself um but anyway I don’t think I mentioned this but I do have a food page on Instagram and I’ve been posting on it like come on I’ve been posting on it like three times a week four times a week I’ve just loved
Doing that it has it’s given me an outlet just to put my food on so if you need any food inspiration or if you’re curious like what I do for recipes and stuff check that out I’ve actually been surprisingly consistent on there and I’ve given a lot of variety I do eat a
Lot of the same vegetables um but I eat a lot of them with fitness and health and all of that you really do have to see what works best for you and I couldn’t agree more I mean I’ve been on like a health Journey for eight years
And I’ve it’s ebed and flowed I’ve gone through major discipline phases and Major Love Yourself phases I think from each phase that you go through you learn something and so I think even with Fitness I’ve I’ve gone through different phases and kind of come full circle so I think trial and
Error is really good especially the error you have to learn what works for you just as much as you have to learn what doesn’t work for you and something that didn’t work for me was Pilates and walking even though everybody says that I didn’t see come on like any progress
From that at all but it did Keep Me moving which is good um I tried f45 I’ve did that and that was too high intensity all the time for me I know they have strength days but those strength days are like that is not the same as
Like building strength in a real like a like a gym like an actual lifting gym I also did the only yoga route for a while so I feel like now I’ve come to a place of balance where I’m primarily weightlifting I add in Walks Like I’m out outside walking oh pretzel come here
Like right now I’m outside walking the dog and this is purely for my mind uh it’s not I mean I do enjoy seeing my step count go up but it’s mainly for my mind that’s that so far I’m feeling amazing seeing the scale go down like just made me feel so good and
Just made me realize that like what I’m what I’m just was reassuring that what I’m doing really does work for me you know especially with the food thing I got in my head for so long about people saying that keto is bad like all this stuff it really got in
My head and I’ve honestly I’ve never felt better and more myself than when I eat this way yeah we’re going to finish this walk come on baby she just loves to SM smell everything I’m so glad I came out here for a second walk I don’t
Normally do this but um it’s like almost 60° let’s go pretzel so I had to all right I’m approaching a busy street and everyone can see me Vlog so I’ll check in I’ll check in with you [Applause] later finally found this fox and there’s two of them actually keeping my distance
Don’t worry but we found a fox on the trail the other day and I’ve been meaning to just catch it on camera and I don’t even know if you can see it here I’ll include phone footage It is now time to go to the grocery store so I’m planning on having just some regular plain chicken breast with olive oil and then I’m also going to have a side of bell p peers my favorite Ruben doesn’t eat low carb he likes a
Lot of carbs he likes a big robust meal so if you are eating in a similar way as me and your spouse your boyfriend whoever is not eating that way this is how you can still make dinner for other people in your family but like eat completely different meals so I’m going
To be making like a pasta sauce and noodles and everything it’s actually a really good recipe so I’m going to include that in this video as well tell me if you guys do this too do you categorize your list like I do it by area of the store so got garlic clove
And then Roma lettuce that’s in the same section then I have take and baked bread which is next on the way of my route and then in my next category I have the pasta sauce and pesto which is in a separate area and then lastly I’m going
To get some more heavy cream I think that is everything I need let’s go to the grocery store every time I say that I think of the giz of my pants song where he’s like I’m going to butcher the lyrics but he’s like another thing from the grocery anyway we’re
Going to go to the grocery the snaps from the same little braks in your soul there’s a million people here go [Applause] home so for dinner I’m going to be showing you two separate recipes my bacon wrapped jalapeno cream cheese chicken that is like my favorite go-to meal and then some pasta for Reuben and he actually has the bacon wrapped chicken in with his pasta so it works out I like
Making this on the same night so then we can each have the chicken but I just I just skip out on the pasta so I’m just dicing up an onion and putting it in the pan here with some olive oil and garlic and get this nice
And prepped for the sauce this is our favorite sauce it tastes so good so I add a whole can of this and then I also add a whole can of this pesto let this sit on a low heat and let it simmer and we’re going to make the bacon wrapped
Chicken I start with two jalapenos it really just depends on the spiciness of the pepper how much you’re making so just play it by ear but I’m just dicing up some jalapeno peppers here and then in a bowl because I’m making a bunch of chicken I’m using a
Whole brick of cream cheese adding the jalapenos this is crushed red pepper a little cayenne pepper you can go easy on that sometimes that can make it a little bit too spicy and then I’m just mixing it together and then we can grab the chicken so with each piece of chicken
Breast I’m just butterflying it so just cutting it in half but not all the way through at the end so that it stays together I’m seasoning the chicken with garlic powder and pepper I skip out on the salt just because I feel like the bacon is salty enough I’ve done that in
The past and it was way too salty to eat so I’m skipping out on the salt here and then I’m adding the cream cheese mixture into each piece of chicken once they’re folded together then I can wrap them in bacon I do about three slices of bacon
Per chicken breast if I have a smaller chicken breast I’ll only use two and if you have like one of those bigger size chicken breast you can use like up to six you know it really just depends on the size of your chicken but then I just
Put these these in a pan and I bake them at 425° for about 45 minutes again depending on the size of your chicken this can change and Vary I’ve done this at 350° I’ve done this for almost an hour when I’ve had bigger pieces of chicken so just keep that in mind and
Here I’m just checking on the sauce making sure that I keep stirring it and it’s not sticking to the pan so with Ruben’s pasta we’re making some bread with like an olive oil little mixture on the side so I’m showing you that here I wish great parmesan cheese was that
Quick um but yeah for the mixture it’s olive oil and then this balsamic vinegar glaze I did do a little bit too much of this this night so do less and then I add some red pepper flake to this along with the parmesan cheese mix that up and
That is perfect with a side of baked bread I’m also making some salads so this is romae lettuce parmesan cheese these are the croutons that Reuben likes and then top this with your favorite Caesar dressing our favorite noodles are rigatoni noodles and these are the ones
That we use so I’m just making that and that is the recipe obviously you put the sauce on top of the noodles and then we chopped up some bacon wrapped chicken to put inside of that as well this is the final result and then this is what I’m
