Hey y’all welcome back today is Tuesday morning and Cal and I are going grocery shopping for the week I started putting in a Walmart order yesterday or actually Sunday night and decided we’re going to go to ALDI again this week I feel like I saved some money by doing that and I
Want to try to shop there more often to try to save a little bit more money on groceries and so we’re going to go to ALDI and try to do most of our shopping we’ll probably go to one more store um just because there’s usually a few
Things that I can’t get at Ali so we’ll probably run in one more store as well but we’re going to get everything we need for the week I’m going to try to quickly if I have time to make a list of things I know I don’t want to forget um
I’ve got to feed my starter real quick before we go um but I’m going to try to make a little list of what we need I’m going to make a meal plan I’ve got a couple things on the meal plan I’m trying to think of maybe a couple more
Things that we might could have um so I’m going to grab my meal planner and let’s let’s write out a meal plan for the week okay so today is the week of March fifth all right so yesterday was Monday so today’s Tuesday um yesterday Ethan and I had a little date
Night I’m just going to go ahead and write that on there so the kids actually we ordered pizza for them gr come to stay with them while we went on date night a Monday night date night which was cool um which it was nice and um so
We ordered pizza for every for the kids and we went to eat dinner last night so that’s what we did okay so tonight I think we’re going to do breakfast for dinner because is is so nice out and I think we’ll do it on the Blackstone I’ve
Also got Hawaiian chicken from Aldi that we did not cook last week so we’ll probably do that tomorrow night because it’d be pretty easy to do I’m trying to think of maybe two more things we could do and I might just kind of shop around
At aie and kind of oh I think we’re going to do spaghetti I did have that um idea we’re going to do spaghetti one night and I I like to do like zucchini noodles with my spaghetti um I’m trying to think we want to do anything else usually the weekends I
Kind of try to keep open because um we never know what we’re going to do on the weekends so I’m going to take Millie to school we’re going to go to ALDI and one more grocery store probably and I am also going to meal prep for the week I
Wanted something super low in points that helps me out so much if I can keep my lunches really low in points it helps me out for the rest of the day I’ve actually um started counting my coffee again in the mornings and just trying to
Help me do even better it’s leaking no I think it’s good Millie has crazy sock day at school let’s show them she’s got tie-dye socks on she’s got tie-dye socks on she’s so excited for it um but we’re going to yeah we’re going to meal prep for the week today um get something
Super low in points for the week and super filling too because that helps me out a lot too to keep it low in points and filling so that way I’m not snacking all afternoon so let’s do that I’m I’m going to share everything we got for the
Week the rest of the meal plan if I whatever else I find to go on the meal plan for the week and let’s restock things too and get a good restock because we are running low on like everything we fly through food and so I’m trying to think of ways like
We can save money every week so I’m going to try to go to Audi a lot more than I do now and try to save money each week on groceries So Cal and I just got back from AI I made breakfast real quick so now I’ve got everything laid out so
My grand total let me just say this first of all so I started a Walmart order on Sunday night and my total was like $250 and I kind of went through my cart and I’m like how did the how does this equal $250 I feel like I didn’t have a
Lot of stuff now granted I did have a couple like non food related items like laundry detergent and a couple more other things but still it I just was like I’m going to go back to AI this week so I just like like deleted all of
My stuff in my cart from Walmart and I said me and Cal are going to go shop at AI again and try to get as much as we can there and we got a lot of stuff there I did get a few things at one more
Grocery store but I spent a total of $100 at Aldi and I feel like that was such a good deal for what I’ve got at least like in the times we’re in right now so I’m going to share what I got we’re going to restock everything and
We’re going to get started on the lunch meal prep that I’m going to do for the week all right so I got all this stuff right here my grand total was like aund and it was less than $140 total because at the other store I didn’t grab much um
And like honestly compared to $250 like I that was really good okay so from Aldi we’ve got I grabbed some milk um I grabbed we I will also say as well as far as Meats I already had the meats so we had some like butcher box um gr beef
That I had we’re going to do for spaghetti and then I had some more some chicken in the freezer already but we got some center cut bacon and then I don’t think I’ve ever brought ever bought their breakfast sausage but we’re going to do breakfast for dinner and I
Also I like to always do bacon and sausage as far as snack things I did get several snack things that I think were going to be good for the entire week and AI has the best such good prices on their like brand of snacks and most of
Their snacks are good like there’s a few things that I’d prefer the name brand but I got some pretzel Slims these are a really good price there also grabbed a thing of cookies Cal has already opened these he ate these he picked a snack that he wanted in the car and this is
What he picked um so I grabb those the kids always love those I grabb their brand of Honey Buns these are always like a lunch staple I grabbed some more Pop-Tarts cuz they’re always such a good price there also grabb their brand of Nutella grab some eggs for the week we
Are out of butter I don’t love their butter because it’s not as easy to spread as some of the other brands that I get but I went ahead and got it there um got some of this for snacks and lunches we didn’t need a lot of cereal
So I just grabbed one thing of cereal cuz we still got some in the pantry and I kind of just wanted to grab like what we actually needed two things of bread I just got this for everybody and then I grabbed some more I really really like
This bread from Aldi and if you’re on Weight Watchers like I am it’s two slices for two points which is really good so I’ve been doing that for a lot of breakfast um we’re going to do spaghetti one night so I grabbed that um some spaghetti noodles
Delanie’s been asking for me to buy kiwi it’s been so long since I’ve bought them so I grabbed those there and some bananas grabbed a couple strawberries I should have grabbed a couple more of these cuz we go through them very quickly these are also such a good price
At Aldi so I grabbed a couple of those some of these as well these are cheaper Aldi to get I did get a pineapple and some potatoes we’re going to do these um probably with her Hawaiian chicken as a side got some string cheese we needed
More pancake syrup so I grabbed that and I think we should have some pancake mix in the pantry that we can do for our breakfast for dinner we grabbed some breakfast things French toast and frozen waffles I wanted to grab the kids something for like after dinner if they
Want a little treat grab some Texas toast for our spaghetti and the last few things at Aldi I got a few canned things some corn green beans I just got this applesauce this week because it was cheaper and keep it in the fridge and as want it will’ll just take it out instead
Of the pouches pasta sauce grab their brand of like the Capri Suns um veggie straws and then a couple of their white cheddar Puffs that’s everything I got at Ali now the other grocery store like I said I just grabbed a few things and it’s mainly things that I needed for my
Meal prep because like the veggies at Aldi I just did some of the they just didn’t really have what I needed and some things like they were just too big of quantity for what I needed so I grab these because I’m going to do this for spaghetti night I have never seen these
And never tried these so the ter they have a few different other other kinds terak rice cauliflower I’m going to use this for milk prep so I got two of those as well as this this is um versus my other the groc store I went to this is
Cheaper at Walmart but I didn’t really want to run in Walmart to get what I needed so this was also and honestly the the other groc store that I go to is called Engles they have really good deals all the time some things are definitely more expensive but then they
Have like really good deals that if you use like their advantage card you can get like half off of some things so like as far as the milk this is usually like $5 and something this was on sale for $3.38 so I grabbed a couple of those so
It kind of equals out but as far as produce I got a onion I got two colored bell peppers two heads of broccoli and then I also got some mushrooms so honestly for what I got I felt like I got such a good deal at AI I mean $100 for the things I
Got versus what I had like very similar things and probably the same quantity of things in my Walmart grocery cart that it was just I spent way less money this week so we’re going to definitely start doing this most weeks probably to try to save some money on snacks and some
Dinner things and um so let me know if your family also shops at Aldi I know I’ve gotten a couple comments like y’all don’t have a AI near you and I also wondering like does anybody like do their grocery shopping only at Ali I
Find it hard to do that I love AI for most things but there are a few things that we prefer another brand or like they did have like a lactose-free milk that might have been comparable to the fair life they had a fat fat-free lactose free milk that I almost grabbed at Aldi
But I didn’t know I didn’t want to grabb it and not like it so if anybody’s tried that let me know if it compares to the fair life because I prefer a lactose free milk for my coffees my fridge is looking pretty bare there’s things that
Need to be taken out like these they’re um trash and stuff so I’m going to clean this out this needs to be cleaned out too but honestly this needs a really big cleaning so um I don’t think I’m I don’t think I’m going to get to that at least in
This video but um I’m going to do that and then my pantry is also I’m going to kind of get that straightened up a little bit too it’s starting to look pretty bare as well so I’m going to get all that done and let’s start let’s restock things and
Then go ahead and meal prep right after That W W A All right so I’ve got everything put away I did forget to get some drinks for Ethan totally forgot that at the other grocery store and so we’ll have to go grab those later but we got it pretty stocked for the week that pineapple is
So good I ate a little bite of it got the strawberries cut up I’ve got cucumbers in here but I decided we didn’t have a lot of them I decided not to cut those up got some Meats in here so the fridge looks nice and stocked our cabinet stocked couple more over there
Lazy Susan’s and then our pantry is more stocked than it was so we’re looking good for the week so now we’re going to get started we’re going to get started on my meal prepping I’ve got some chicken breasts here we’ve got a bunch of veggies I’ve got to get
My cauliflower rice out of there we’re going to also use this to meal prep with this is like like one of the easiest meal preps I do just super easy throw everything in a sheet pan super low in point so let’s get started chopping up some veggies and
Putting everything on the pan and start getting I’m hoping to get this done before the time I have to go get Millie I think we should have time I am going to line my big sheet pan I actually had to do this on two pans because I had so many veggies I really
Overdid it with the veggies I think I would have could have got by with a little bit less but I wanted to make sure I had enough and bulk it up with lots of veggies cuz I really like freshh vegetables cooked fresh vegetables um so
I line the pan and I am just cutting up all my veggies I’ve got two heads of broccoli that I’m cutting up I just wanted fresh veggies for this of course Frozen would be just fine as two or be just fine as well um and then I’ve got
Two um bell peppers I’ve just got the colorful bell peppers got two of those that I’m chopping up and then I added some mushrooms and then i’ also got an onion in here as well I am just taking some olive oil and sprinkling it all over top well not
Sprinkling it but like putting it all over top I know it looks like I put a lot on here but it comes out actually really slow so I didn’t put a ton on there maybe a couple tablespoons total but just putting some all over top um
Salt and pepper and then I did take that je terak marinade and added a little bit to that of that to the veggies as well and then I am just cooking some holes in my chicken I don’t know why I did this I was just thinking the flavor could get
In there a little bit more and I’m just adding some salt and pepper to that a little bit of the um teriak on top of that and I let this bake in the oven for maybe like 20 minutes and it come out perfectly okay I’ve got everything
Cooked the veggies smells so good so these have um the cauliflower rice has little like they have chunks of pineapple in them so up like I’m going to do probably about a cup in each and it is one point for the cauliflower rice so it actually smells really good so
We’re going to give it a try so I’m going to layer some rice layer some veggies and I’m think I’m going to go ahead and slice up the chicken and put that on top and then add a little more of the Teri marinade on it just going to
Divide this rice into all four days all right now we’re going to take all of our veggies put a bunch of those on top had a ton of veggies which is what I wanted I’m going to go ahead and just start cutting up this chicken all right
So now I’m just going to pour a little bit more of this over top so I’m going to count this I did add some oil to the veggies and all that I’m going to count this as two points um this is it’s like zero everything in it so I wouldn’t even
Count this but the rice and then I’m going to go ahead and finish off this store because there’s only a little bit left but the rice and then the like a little bit of oil I used for the veggies but they are like jam packed full of
Veggies like there’s lots in here let’s give it a try I really want to give this a try so we can see what this cauliflower rice um is like with all of this okay the Teri cauliflower rice is actually really good I don’t like plain love plain cauliflower rice like on its own
Sometimes I’ll do like half and half regular rice cauliflower rice this is actually really good in here especially like added that extra teriyaki sauce in there that’s a really good flavor so I’m going to be definitely enjoying this all week it’s super low in points for my
Lunches which is what I always want so I’m going to go enjoy this and I hope you guys enjoyed come along for my morning as we grocery shopped and shared all the things and meal prepping I’m going to go get this kitchen cleaned up and eat my lunch so I hope you guys
