Sourdough from me.. to you! 🌾🥖
1. Add sourdough starter to clean glass jar.
2. Add 50g of organic bread flour to the jar.
3. Add 50g of room temperature water to the flour.
4. Mix the flour and water thoroughly until there are no dry patches.
5. Cover the jar tightly
6.Add your rubber band
7. Let the starter sit at room temperature (ideally around 70-75°F or 21-24°C) for 4-12 hours, depending on the activity of your starter and the ambient temperature.
8. After the feeding period, your sourdough starter should be active and bubbly, ready to be used in your recipes or stored in the refrigerator for future use.
Remember to discard or use a portion of your starter before feeding if you need to maintain a smaller quantity. Repeat this feeding process regularly to keep your sourdough starter healthy and active.
I made this for my big sister so she could start her own sourdough journey, this is a great way to share with friends and family.
