South Indian Meals restaurant style – Keerai Masiyal
Recipe
Any leafy greens of your choice
Washed and chopped
Add the chopped greens to a pot
Garlic – 4 cloves
Onion – 1 large sized
Green chilies – 3 nos
Water – 1/2 cup
Cook in medium heat for 10 mins
Do not cover the pot
Add
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp (crushed)
Salt to taste
Rice flour slurry (1 tbsp rice flour + 3 tbsp water)
Cook in medium high heat for 5 mins and keep stirring
Turn off the heat
Add 1 cup of grated coconut
Mash it for a minute
Add tempering to it and enjoy 🤗
For tempering
Oil / ghee – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Garlic – 3 cloves (chopped)
Dried chillies – 3 nos
Hing – 1/2 tsp
Best accompanied with puli or Kara Kuzhambu
