it’s hot it’s summer and you probably
prefer to spend less time in the kitchen
so today with the help of our sponsor
element we’re diving right into a quick
pre-workout post-workout or on-the-go
snack that you only need five
ingredients to make let’s jump right
into it
[Music]
you’re gonna start this one by taking
out a food processor and adding three
servings of hole-pitted dates into it
which is 120 grams cover it up and pulse
until a giant ball forms like this
[Music]
next add into a mixing bowl 110 grams of
greek yogurt 60 grams of rolled oats 128
grams of a nut butter or nut butter
alternative 75 grams of protein powder
and our optional magic ingredient today
a stick pack of element chocolate salt
for some electrolytes which we’ll talk
about in a bit give those a quick mix
then add your date ball in and mix again
until everything is combined
remember i include both us and metric
conversions on the website now which is
always in the description below
these are your base ingredients whatever
else you want to add in is completely up
to you
nuts hemp seeds chocolate chips ground
cinnamon dried fruit and so on all work
great i went with some hemp seeds and
mini chocolate chips
now with your mix ready you’ll want to
take out a baking sheet and some
parchment paper add your mix onto your
parchment paper and shape your mix into
however you want your bars to look
your mix will be pretty sticky there’s
two ways to make it easier for you to
shape number one you can put your mix
into the fridge or freezer for 10 to 15
minutes or number two you can keep your
hands damp as you shape it i don’t have
a preference here both ways work great
from here you can top them i added on
some walnuts make sure to press in
whatever you’re topping them with
last put them into the oven on 350 for
around 12 to 15 minutes or until your
edges start to turn golden brown
while those are in the oven it’s time
for the supplement of the day
element which is a delicious electrolyte
drink mix that has no sugar color
artificial ingredients or fillers in it
there’s a ton of flavors and it comes in
these little stick packs so they’re easy
to take with you anywhere hi viewsies
while i’m working out especially outside
in the summer after a couple of drinks
for hangover prep and occasionally we’ll
have some lower carb days
in my experience keeping your
electrolytes in check will prevent
headaches and muscle cramps i think we
all know what a calf cramp feels like in
the middle of the night and it’s not fun
[Music]
