hello hello and welcome back to another
video y’all I finally got back on my
zoom I am back to my regularly scheduled
programming like outside feels good but
inside feels so much better so to
Kickstart My Summer on the inside I am
changing out my bedding today so I like
to do I like to change out my bedding
like twice a year like I’ll do something
something for fall winter season you
know something on the more warmer side
probably on the darker tone color and
then once spring summer comes around I
like to change it out give it a
different feel in the room and just
lighten up the space so one of the ways
that I like to invest in myself is
quality bedding like we spend a third of
Our Lives sleep we spend a third of our
lives in our bed and so for me my
bedding is something that I like I like
it to be nice nice you know I like to
eat right I like to out practice skin
care but the ultimate glow up is your
quality of sleep like sleep is key if
you have a bad night sleep everything
else is just down the drain I get hot in
my sleep okay so I need cooling sheets
specifically and I also like luxury
bedding because it’s just softer and it
lasts longer like I’ll spend I’ll spend
a bag on some sheets before I spend a
bag on a bag if you know what I’m saying

but I’m so excited I can’t wait to go to

a clean house makes life feel like there

the carpet is vacuum the clothes are
washed like it’s feeling good I’m cute
with my little onesie and my house
slippers this is how Saturday nights
should be so I’m growing grocery
shopping in the morning and I always
show you guys and of course meal
prepping I always show you guys the
grocery I always show you guys the meal
prep but let’s get into the process of
how I decide what I’m going to eat now
if I want to like spice things up I’ll
go online and just look up recipes and
put them together but in the spirit of
the seasons changing and I mean all year
round I like to do this but I don’t like
to have things sitting too long I like
to I’ll get my bulk meat shopping and
then I’ll pick from like my grains and
my beans and and you know what powders
do I have that I want to use up okay I
have coconut flour let’s cook something
this week with some coconut flour so you
can use it up and not waste it so for
breakfast option number one I am doing a
berry cafir smoothie I chose this
because I already have frozen berries I
always keep mixed berries pineapple
mango and strawberries like big frozen
bags in the freezer um I have a banana
two bananas that are I got them two days
ago so they need to be used and I also
have some almond butter that I need to
use up and then I have vanilla extract
for breakfast option number two I am
doing a blueberry peacan oatmeal I
already have the oatmeal so I like to I
usually eat oatmeal quite often I
already have blueberries the other day I
was at the grocery store like two days
ago and I picked up two things of
blueberries they had it for like two2
for $5 I already have Greek yogurt from
last week I keep I always keep peans and
I always keep maple syrup for lunch
option number one I’m going to do red
beans and rice with a grilled chicken so
of course I already have the chicken I
have beans I have black beans red beans
and lentil all the time I make sure I
keep that and then I also have brown
rice so I’ll do brown rice with the red
beans and the grilled chicken and then
all I have to pick up for this recipe is
probably like some parsley green onion
um Regular onion so just a couple of
vegetables not a lot for that also some
chicken broth for lunch option number
two I am going with a tuna and chickpea
salad sandwich um I always usually keep
chickpeas so I’ll just have to pick up
some tuna I always keep bread in the
fridge whether it’s Dave’s protein bread
or Ezekiel bread and then I have like
light mayonnaise I get some celery for
the salad some lime I already have a red
onion so I just need to get a couple of
vegetables for that recipe um and I
probably won’t do a side if I do do a
side I’ll probably get some broccoli or
something for a vegetable so for dinner
option number one I’m going with salmon
stuffed avocado of course I already have
salmon um I’ll do one avocado for one
for a serving so like I’ll split an
avocado in half and stuff them you know
both with the salmon um so I already
have one avocado so I will pick up
another avocado I’ll need celery for
this as well parsley I’ll grab I have
Mayo I have deson mustard I have the
seasonings and I will probably I will
already have some green onions because I
have it in another recipe so there we go
no wasting the green onion and then for
my last dinner option my second dinner
option I’m going to go with a asparagus
and shrimp pasta I have some pasta in
the closet that I need to use up of
course I have shrimp so all I’ll need to
pick up is some asparagus and I kind of
wanted to stay away from the cheese I
might try to do a alfredo sauce that
doesn’t require the cheese I might have
to do heavy cream but but I’m going try
I think I’m going to try to look for a
dairy alternative when it comes to the
cream portion of this recipe and for my
snacks since I already have Greek yogurt
and I won’t use all of the Greek yogurt
that I have I will go ahead and make a
parfait as one of my snacks I already
have granola I always keep granola and I
already have strawberries and
blueberries and then for my snack option
number two I’m going to do a celery and
hummus since I need celery for one of
the main recipes IES I’ll have a couple
of stalks of celery so I will just have
to pick up some hummus so that’s pretty
much how I plan out my meals like I like
to look at what I already have and let’s
make something out of that so that way
the less money we spend cuz the big Haul
is enough so I really want I like to try
to keep it under $50 every every week
that I go like $50 a week for 3 months
on groceries is a pretty good deal a
pretty good deal now unless I have to
get like some special ingredient if I’m
you know stepping out of the box and
making something fun but like basic
grocery list like this it’s pretty much

like if somebody ask me what my favorite
vegetable is it’s eggplant I about to
get groceries today today is going to be
a nice chill day oh he is cute but he
has a ring I’m just doing Kroger today
um my goal is to spend under $50 I did
add three things to my grocery list um I
added orange juice cuz I need that for
my greens I do not like taking greens
with water it’s just not as fun I added
some mixed berries cuz those mixed
berries I picked up yesterday they’ve
been in there for a minute like my
strawberries mango and pineapple those I
recently got within the last like two 3
months but them mixed berries been there
over a year easy so I’m going get some
new mixed berries and I added Greek
yogurt because I had that today for
breakfast and I was I I I don’t have as
much as I thought I did so I’m going to
try to keep this list under $50 we will
see there might be an outlier or two
like I count the the what I count is
like the vegetables and stuff cuz
vegetables really be like a dollar
$2 that you know what I need for the
week
so I’m curious to see how that’s going
to turn out it look like it’s going to
rain out here today which I don’t mind I
just want to be in the house before it

know it’s about time for that meal print
y’all I did good at the store so I
actually in total for everything
including the flowers the total came up
to $66 the vegetables before all of the
outliers and I consider the outliers to
be the grapefruit juice the ice cream
the keer uh kefir I don’t know if I’m
pronouncing that right um anything aside
from the vegetables that came up to be 1
with those coupons that I scan I would
sleep on those Kroger coupons and I mean
saving a dollar on this item a dollar on
this item and0 50 cents on this item it
adds up over time so anytime I see that
barcode in Kroger one of the associates
was like scan that before you go to
check out like clip it to your uh kroger
account you don’t have to have the app I
just I think it pulls it up I think do I
have the app no that pulled it up on the
web so y’all better get them coupons so
it is currently 4:45 p.m. I have a
meeting at 700 p.m. so I really want to
try to get all of this done in 2 hours
and if I just focus on that then I can
really get it done in two
hours we’ll see but the objective is to
be in bed tonight by
9:00 like I can feel I can feel my
energy like dropping now 5 so I think
I’ll be good to be in bed by 9:00 the
meeting hopefully won’t last more than
an hour hour and then I’ll take that
hour from like 88: to 9:00 like part of
my wind down cut off social media cut
off the camera cut off the TV like
sitting there planning that’ll put me in
my sleep I’ll probably have some tea so
before I go in honor of my gut health
inspired menu I created a 4-we meal plan
specifically containing meals to help
your gut so if that’s something you’re
looking to do all of the meals that will
be on this 4-we meal plan will help your
gut it’s going to be similar to the uh
regular forming whe it’s going to be
similar to the regular 4-week meal plan
that I have out um I’d say the one that
I have out now is more those are meals
that I eat to maintain my body and not
like necessarily gain weight you can
gain weight with some of the things on
the meal plan but it’s all about how
much you eat and how often you eat the
uh current one that I have out now is
more like a maintain your weight I’m
going to put out this gut health one I
will attach it to the description below
and then I think I’m going to make one
like I guess low calorie I don’t want to
say low calorie cuz it’s all about like
what you eat that determines your body
fluctuation so I will call that one a
weight loss meal plan versus a local
meal plan so yes that one give me a
second on that one I the gut health one
is the next one so yeah if you guys need
any help I I’m here I am here for you so
for the rest of the night I am going to
make my dinner I really need Zeus to put
baddies on before like if you say he’s
going to be out 55 we don’t need no 8:00
p.m. okay put it on on Sunday so that we
can watch it on the at the time that we
want to watch it so I’m hoping that at
least by 5:30
6:00 bdes is a available I’m going to
enjoy my baddies I wanted to get win so
bad today but because I’m specifically
focusing on my gut this week I might do
it for the next two weeks to be honest
depending on how my body responds to it
this week but I think wine is definitely
counter
counteractive is that the word
counteractive
counterintuitive it’s counter it’s
against the gut health plan so I would
love to have a glass of wine right now
with that but it’s okay oh and then if
you’re wondering about the um ice cream
bar that I got it is a Greek yogurt ice
cream bar so it’s not like super duper
healthy but I I have to have sweets in
the house and like usually I’ll do
strawberries with hazelnut like if I
have a late night craving I’ll just go
cut up some strawberries and use organic
hazelnut spread as like my little dip or
I’ll do the Greek yogurt ice cream bars
because everything is in moderation and
it just helps it prevents me from going
and getting some candy or something so I
hope you guys enjoyed this meal prep I

get started I’m going to soak my beans
for a while when using dry beans it’s
best to soak them beforehand to shorten
the cooking process next I’ll wash my
berries now I don’t typically wash my
berries I just wash them as I use them
um in the past when I did wash them I
noticed that they would mold faster than
if I just left them but I’ve learned
that if I completely dry them before
storing I won’t have that issue so after
washing and rinsing I’ll lay them out to
dry while I meal prep and then Pat them
with a paper towel while rotating them
over the next couple hours to ensure
that they fully dry um I pretty much
tackle all the fruits and vegetables
first and since I’m having celery as a
snack this week I wanted to go ahead and
wash them thoroughly and cut them up
into snack size plus one of the recipes
that I’m making I will need celery so
after soaking my beans for about 30
minutes I went ahead and started cooking
them because they’ll take about an hour
I boil them in chicken broth and water
and season them with cayen pepper and
cumin um when I meal prep I always cook
by meal this helps me prevent cross
contamination between the different
meats and I don’t really have to think
as much when I meal prep in order I poke
holes in my chicken so that the
seasoning can flavor the inside and a
quick tip for keeping your chicken moist
while cooking is to add Greek yogurt to
both sides and please guys don’t put the
spoon back in the Greek yogurt after it
has touched the
chicken something I’ve implemented to
make the meal prep process less tedious
is I clean as I go I’ll rinse and put
whatever I just used in the dishwasher
because if I don’t clean up I’ll have a
sink full of dishes at the end of the
night now the green pepper and onion is
going to be added to the chicken once
it’s done cooking kind of giving this
fajita Vibe but not really cuz I’m not
making fajitas is just a way to add
vegetables to my
meal now after the beans have boiled for
about 30 minutes I then add rice and
some more chicken broth and together I
will let them boil for another 30
minutes so that I can make red beans and
rice so for one of my lunch options I am
making a tuna and chickp salad this
recipe called for light mayo Sriracha
green onion salt and pepper and minced
garlic um one serving of tuna has about
29 g of protein and a serving of
chickpeas are about 6 GS of protein
making this a high protein 35 G meal or
35 gram of protein meal and chickpeas
and tuna are just closet Staples so it’s
best to keep them in Your
Arsenal now after poultry I went on to
cook seafood I always season my Seafood
with Old Bay and then I’ll add other
seasonings on top of that I love to cook
the salmon skin separate and just eat it
as a little treat now with the salmon
I’m having salmon stuffed avocado
similar to the tuna salad I’ll just make
salmon salad and it calls for celery and
parsley another helpful tip any extra
herbs you have put the stems in water
cover that with a plastic bag and it’ll
stay fresh in the fridge all week and
this is another high protein meal with
the Greek yogurt that I’m adding in
addition to the salmon and then I also
added light mayo Deon mustard salt
pepper and some lemon juice now this was
my first time making this meal and I
must say it came out pretty tasty
something I would absolutely make
again now the last meal I made is a a
shrimp and asparagus pasta well this was
more like shrimp and asparagus with some
noodles because I didn’t have enough
noodles for two full servings but that’s
okay I just wanted to use it up I always
use chickpea pasta it does taste a
little different from traditional pasta
but I want as much protein as I can get
so it doesn’t bother me and I do cook my
asparagus separate from the shrimp to
maintain the crunchiness of the
vegetable y’all I wanted so badly to
make a good alfredo sauce without cream
because you should stay away from dairy
when working on your gut but I didn’t
see a dairy alternative cream at Kroger
so I said f it I’m going to make it
anyway and I’ll do better next
week now once I was done with everything
I cut and stored my fruit and I store
all of my Foods in glass containers
because it keeps them fresh longer now
let’s get into this week’s meals
breakfast option number one was a berry
cafir smoothie cafir is a fermented milk
that contains probiotics which is great
for your gut health and it’s also low in
lactose um probiotics aid in digestion
and prevent gas and
bloating now for my breakfast option
number two I had my usual oatmeal oats
are a Prebiotic food and they are rich
in fiber um I added my usual seasonings
make the syrup for sweetening and I
topped it with Greek yogurt which is
also a probiotic and to add protein I
use the Greek yogurt and then I topped
it with some blueberries and peans and
drizzle a little honey on top y’all it
it was it was delicious definitely

was then of course I had my greens with
some grapefruit juice um for those who
don’t know greens are a superfood and
it’s also something that just helps with
digestion now to make this meal better
for my gut gluten-free bread would have
been a better option but this is what I
had so I will switch to gluten-free
bread after this loaf is finished um I
should have also had vegetables on the
side but I had one more bag of protein
chips left which wasn’t the best for my
gut because it’s processed food but I
still ate it and it was still good and
this tuna protein chickpea thing amazing
amazing
so I didn’t eat all of the rice and
beans because when working on your gut
health your meals should decrease in
size throughout the day but the beans
are good for the gut and you can’t
really go wrong with grilled

chicken okay so let’s talk about how
I’ve had this avocado for 3 weeks now
once your avocado is ripe pop it in the
fridge and it will last for a few weeks
I promise now this is stuffed salmon
avocado or salmon stuffed avocado this
was my absolute favorite this week like
it was so good so refreshing great
option to have as your third meal when
you’re doing your whole gut health

now my dinner option number two wasn’t
really gut healthy if I’m going to be
honest I was just craving it the heavy
cream the cheese it’s just a no no for
the gut but no worries it will not be
included in the gut health meal plan
that I made for you guys it was
delicious though now when you’re working
on your gut health you’re really only
supposed to eat three times a day um
you’re not supposed to snack really but
when I’m switching the way I eat I do it
gradually similar to how I’m doing the
whole you know morning routine thing
gradually so I did give myself the
options of having a parfait early in the
day cuz fruit is better to digest
earlier in the day or raw foods and then
um I had celery and hummus for the
evening Cravings but next week I am
going to shoot for no snacks at all
