well hello there and welcome to my
kitchen today we will be baking some
really yummy yummy yummy banana bread
come on
in so I’ve just finished my uh morning
skin care uh routine I massaged my face
with my facial oil and my jade roller I
might look a little bit red because I
don’t have any makeup on let me just put
a little bit of lipstick cuz uh I do
want a little bit of color on my face
and I just you
know I’m in the zone now just to create
something and baking banana bread really
really relaxes me I don’t know if you
guys cook if you bake if you love you
know the little ritual of
creating a little bit of magic in your
kitchen but when I do make something
like the banana bread that I make it
really Rel relaxes me and of course I
really look forward to eating it uh
afterwards with a nice cup of coffee
we’re going to make some coffee as well
today actually I’m going to bring my
microphone okay I think we’re going to
sound a little bit more professional uh
now
so I don’t remember what I was saying
what I was saying I was talking about a
Greek coffee we’re going to make some
Greek coffee later on I got some R new
Greek coffee Greek Special Blend from
coffee Island the other day that I went
for dinner at dish with the cake and my
previous one uh the one I got from
Greece has just finished so perfect
perfect timing so I’m going to show you
first uh the equipment I need for the
recipe and then I’m going to show you
the ingredients and we will try to do
this banana bread together I don’t know
how it will go
but I’m going to give it a shot here so
I need two they’re not pants one is a
glasswar pot and this is where I um mix
my liquid ingredients and I use this one
for my flour uh and the other um
ingredients that I’ll just uh mix here
before I add them this mix uh then I
have this one where it shows me the cups
and the
pints uh what else and the ml whatever
uh you find more useful and then I have
these measuring uh spoons that I really
like them and I think I got these ones
um after I had seen them featured in um
in a couple of um baref fo contesta
videos that I was watching when I was
way younger and I felt oh this looks so
you know professional looks so accurate
you measure all of your ingredients and
you just T to up here and uh I like The
Vibes so I’ve had them for quite a few
uh years I think that’s all the
equipment of course I have this cute
little cake thingy I did cut some baking
paper I don’t know if I would use it
usually I don’t use it I just put oil in
the cake um a little pan uh because I
feel that if I put that
inside uh it will just fold on the sides
and you know then the cake will not bake
properly but we will we will see I’ll
see how I feel uh today so let me show
you the ingredients so here I have my
little book it’s not a exactly a recipe
book but this is where I just written my
recipe so uh let me show you the
ingredients that we’re going to play
with today and voila here we are I uh
couldn’t help but notice a Bowie brown
lipstick this is not necessary for the
recipe of course so uh let’s start with
two eggs uh then we’re going uh to need
half a cup of coconut oil you can also
put uh extra virgin olive oil this is
the first time that I’m using coconut
oil all the other times I had um Extra
Virgin uh olive oil but I wanted to try
something different today so let’s see
how we we feel about this uh then we
have 13 of a cup honey I got this one
from M&S it’s uh quite
nice and then next ingredient is my
Greek yogurt we’re going to need a/4 of
a cup Greek yogurt or you can also use
milk if you fancy last time I tried
almond milk but I think the cake the
bread rather is uh better with the
yogurt I love the consistency of the
yogurt better of course Three Bananas as
extra extra uh ripe extra extra uh black
and swollen uh and then we’re going to
our uh dry ingredients so I B some plain
white flour this morning from Co-op
because the one that I had from waitrose
had finished you can use whole wheat
that’s what I usually uh use for the
recipe but today we’re going white CU I
want to see how the consistency of the
cake uh will fill then we have cinnamon
which I believe I don’t have here you’re
going to need half a teaspoon of
cinnamon one teaspoon of baking
soda
voila half a teaspoon of salt that I
need to bring out as well and 100 G of
uh
chocolate uh chips I always chuse dark
chocolate ones because I don’t want my
banana bread to feel too sweet and I
think I forgotten this bad boy here I’m
going to need one teaspoon of this
vanilla uh Ence Ence let me bring out uh
what the ingredients that I’m missing
and we are going to start voila need
salt and cinnamon where’s my
cinnamon how come I forgot my cinnamon
voila I’ve got all the ingredients uh
guys and uh shall we start with prepping
the dry ingredients first yes let’s do

I have to say that the mushing of the
bananas is really really good workout
for your for your
arms I think that’s the hardest part of
of recipe other than that it’s a super
super easy uh recipe and I as I said at
the beginning of the video I’m someone
who had never tried banana bread and was
saying I don’t like banana
bread yes I mean that’s a a
contradiction isn’t it uh sometimes I’m
very black and white for certain things
it’s not a great trait but that’s how I
am but I mean once I tried it and I
liked it I I
changed so I think my bananas
look
yummy they smell so nice the kitchen
already smells nice and the moment that
I will put everything in the oven it
smells delicious and there’s nothing I
love more than beautiful smells coming
uh from a house’s uh kitchen to me it’s
just
pure happiness you know so voila this is
how my bananas uh look super super uh
mashed as if a baby is going to eat
this perfect so let’s bring out uh my
mixer to mix my wet
ingredients now so I’m not using
anything fancy this is just just a
simple uh canwood ham mixer you don’t
need to have something too professional
for this uh cake I think I got no
actually this is from here it’s not from
Grace so I’m going to beat mix uh for a
full on 2 minutes okay do you want to
see that it’s going to be a little bit
noisy but I think I’m going to mute it

okay we’re almost done I just want to
beautify the top of uh my cake it always
cracks I don’t know if you if you know
of a tip to make it to not crack on the
surface let me uh know I’m just trying
to make it look pretty I have the oven
already already on for the last five or
so
minutes uh at
180° and we’re going to bake this beauty
for 50 whole minutes so this is how it
looks and it’s going
in wish me luck
guys oh this is on top oh cuz this made
a pizza the other
night and this is on top I need
to take it down and watch maybe here and
you are going in

okay in 15 minutes it will be done and
in the meantime I can just hide it here
a little
bit where do I begin Tiding this little
mess in the

also when I’m cooking
guys okay I think the rest I’ll have to
do hand wash right okay guys it’s time
to turn off the oven and check the cake
let’s do this okay we can also do the
toothpick little uh
test I do it just for fun sometimes okay
let’s open the
oven super hot it’s like my my cheeks
are
already uh Pink from the heat oh we
cracked so here is my banana bread we
cracked because we have a sensitive Soul
you know okay let’s do the tooth that’s
a big crack by the way o I’m a little
bit
gutted yeah I think I think it is
done voila so we cracked here and over
here it has fallen so
much let’s
try yeah it’s
beautiful I’m going to leave it I’m
going to leave it for um a bit because I
don’t usually cut it when it is so so
hot I’ve washed my little cake stand uh
well it’s like this wooden thingy it’s a
little bit dark here let me switch you
over so this a little wooden uh base
with a glass Dum it’s just wash it uh
needs to dry a little bit and that’s
where I usually put my cake and then I
close it when when I uh have a slice of
cake at work uh what I do is I wrap it
in cing film this is something that I’ve
noticed that they were doing in
Australia and it just uh keeps it moist
it doesn’t let it dry out I would never
have thought that but of course the cake
needs to be completely um cold not not
warm voila okay we need to take a photo
for the thumbnail now
yeah okay so at this
point uh my cake my banana bread have
fallen so much I think probably the new
flower that I’ve used um oh had a
different interaction and I’ve also use
the coconut oil instead of olive oil so
I can already see some difference over
differences over here in the texture and
how this
feels so very very interesting right so
I will leave it for a little bit longer
and then we’re going to make together a
great coffee and cut a slice of the cake
and just enjoy
it enjoy okay back in the kitchen I’ve
had my lunch and now it’s time for Greek
coffee and of course banana cake I’m
going to show you how I make my Greek
coffee the one that I got from coffee
Island and let me introduce you to my
little electric Gadget
which is called electric bricky so the
usual bricky would be the one that if
you’ve noticed earlier on uh I used to
melt the coconut oil but this takes such
a long uh time so this electric one you
just plug it in and you have your coffee
ready in 20 seconds so let’s get going

and voila this is the moment that I’ve
been waiting all day long just to sit
down enjoy my cup of Greek coffee in the
afternoon with my banana bread uh I
really like how it looks the chocolate
has melted really really nicely there is
more moist um moisture inside but the
banana cake looks significantly Fallen
compared to all the other times that
I’ve made it um so I think yes the
coconut oil and also oh perfect my Coast
parcel is ready for
collection coconut oil H change of flour
um and the fact that I used yogurt but
not full fat yogurt this time played a
little uh role to the final outcome
texture of the cake I’m going to try it
and let you know how it tastes like what
