HERE’S THE STEPS I DO IN ORDER
1. Set up my monthly sheet with the days of the week by the date so it’s easy to see both the actual date and the DOW it lands on.
2. Get out your calendar and fill in anything special or recurring.
3. Go through and assign any theme days (not the actual meal just the theme; things like “Taco Tuesday” or “Takeout Thursday”)
4. THE FUN PART: fill in the days based off of your goals. For me, I want JOY AND INSPIRATION so I am using cookbooks. For you it might be a blog you love or budget friendly recipes, etc.
(WILL EXPLAIN FURTHER IN THE NEXT REEL 👇🏼)
5. Fill in any holes with easy meals that take minimal effort (hot dogs, boxed Mac and cheese, a meal from the freezer)
Stay tuned for part 4!
the actual meal plan part three first of
May was a Wednesday so I have the first
second third fourth Saturday Sunday
Monday Tuesday the whole way down step
two to look at our calendar anything
special put that on your meal plan if it
affects your meals like a recurring
Wednesday night soccer practice where
dinner is always going to be weird I
would put soccer in parenthesis so that
when you’re meal planning and you’re
looking at your meals you’re like that’s
the night we go through Chick-fil-A
hosta Monday maybe you do Taco Tuesday
maybe you have pizza every Friday go
ahead and at least fill in like pizza or
pasta now I’m going to grab one of my
cookbooks and just flip through my tabs
something that I see looks delicious and
falls under one of my categories like
for instance this pasta from what’s got
be cooking I’ll put this on my pasta
Monday ugc page 85 another pasta that
I’ve been wanting to try this one looks
like I could probably double it and
freeze it for next month I put it on a
pasta Monday in parenthesis I’m going to
write double it inserted a lot of new
meals things that I have never made
before I still have slots each week fill
in the holes in part four
