Green smoothie

This smoothie is easy to make, a simple combination of juicy, flavorful fruits and fresh leafy greens along with ginger. For this preparation, I’ve used fruits like Pineapple, Kiwi which are available all around the year whereas Mango is a seasonal fruit. Mango could be substituted with Cucumber when it’s not available. For fresh leafy greens, I’ve used Spinach which is very nutritious and high in iron content. Even Kale can be used to complement spinach. While this smoothie is great for everyone, this is especially beneficial for people on a juice diet. This is a great detox and immune booster as well. Enjoy this simple recipe any time of the day.

Ingredients
Spinach – 1 cup
Pineapple – 2 cups
Mango – 1
Kiwi – 1 cup
Ginger – 1 inch
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Coconut water – 1 cup

Blend all together until smooth and creamy. Depending on your blender, this could take as little as 30 seconds or as long as 2 minutes.

Nutty Berry smoothie

Nutty Berry Smoothie is a delicious way to start your day. This is a power packed creamy drink with powerful ingredients including several kinds of nuts and berries. While nuts like walnuts are enriched with omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids; hemp seeds and chia seeds are full of proteins. I’ve also used all kinds of berries (has great antioxidants) like strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and fruits like banana. In addition to these, I’ve used Indian gooseberry (amla) powder; agave (honey can also be used) and milk. As a rule of thumb for nutrition, breakfast is the first meal of the day and should be very fulfilling. This smoothie is filling, nutritious and a wonderful way to start the day.
