[Music] all right this is John Cola with discountjuicers.com today we have another exciting episode for you in this episode I’m going to show you guys my favorite low calorie weight loss enhancing fruit juice yes I said it fruit juice I’m actually going to encourage you guys to make this fruit juice and as you guys know that watch me you will know that I’m not a big fan of juicing mostly fruits with exception and actually this is one of them if you’re not aware of why I’m not the biggest fan of juicing fruits I’m not really going to talk about that in this episode I will however post a link down below to my video that says never juice fruits without doing this honestly as somebody who’s been juicing for 29 years and I started selling juicers online over 25 years ago it really makes me sad when I see a lot of influencers that are promoting juicing a lot of sweet fruits hey I love sweet fruits actually I just had mangoes for breakfast today and I encourage you to eat your sweet fruits or even vacuum blend them to get the most nutrition but you know frankly when you juice the fruits you lose some of the fiber although you do keep the cybo you remove the Inyo fiber which can be in some cases a good thing if you’re not juicing too much fruit juice but I see that many people are juicing a lot of sweet fruits in my opinion what I would consider in excess of course your diet varies and you know hey if you drink a whole fruit juice made in the Nama J2 juicer which is my favorite juicer instead of drinking a soda I’m saying you’re moving in the right direction but once again check my video down below where I go more in into my thoughts on juicing fruits as somebody who is juicing and got into juicing specifically for turning around his health that being said there are plenty of fruits that I encourage you guys to juice in abundance one of which that that’s here today is actually my favorite which I juice a whole lot and actually use it to make my soup base so many people may make soup bases out of water when they’re cooking a vegetable soup for example I I’ll juice a whole bunch of pepper so I’ll juice 10 lbs of peppers and have basically all the pepper juice which could be four or five quarts of pepper juice and then I vacuum blend in nuts and seeds so actually I don’t heat my juice although you could heat your juice and then I cut up lots of vegetables and other whole plant Foods um put it into my soup and then I enjoy it link down below if I remember to my video where I actually show how to do this on my personal YouTube channel uh that being said there are plenty of fruits that I believe you should juice with regularity and as often as you like so you could actually benefit more based on some of the science by juicing them instead of eating them so actually I was reviewing a published study this morning that talked about eating tomatoes versus drinking tomato juice and when you drank the tomato juice they showed in the study um higher levels of the different lopine fractions in the person’s blood uh you know as compared to eating the Tomato does that mean eating tomatoes are bad of course not that means if you want higher levels of some of these plant phytonutrients and phytochemicals to get absorbed more quickly into your bloodstream where it can have more of a positive benefit then I would say that’s a good reason to juice some of them so I encourage you to not only juice your tomatoes and peppers and cucumbers but also of course eat them raw actually one of the Cucumbers that that I bought actually this morning I ate before this video even so I encourage you guys to increase your consumption of plant Foods however you can so in any case what the magic of this fruit based recipe is is the what I consider non-sweet fruits they don’t really have that much sugar content in them but they are a Powerhouse of nutrition and you know I am going by the Botanical definition of a fruit and basically if it has a seed inside it it is a fruit so in this recipe what I’ll be juicing today are number one of course we have three nice large beef steak style Tomatoes however I will say for best juicing results it’s always better to juice the smaller Cherry style Tomatoes uh the beef steaks in many cases can get quite soft and then when you juice softer fruits whatever they may be it’s not going to work as well of course you know that the tomatoes are rich in the lopine there’s many publish that I on the benefits of the lopen as well as other phytonutrients and micronutrients in the tomatoes especially against things like enlarged prostate as well as things like cancer of course next up we got the peppers I encourage you guys to juice the orange yellow and red peppers whenever possible they’re more nutritious than the green peppers they are also more expensive because they’re also riper but you know uh the peppers are actually very high in vitamin C they even have more vitamin C than oranges but let’s not even forget that while the vitamin C content is high the pro vitamin A or carotenoid content is even higher I’m not going to say it’s comparable to carrots but it’s quite high and these are very important compounds for our immune system Health also of course the vitamin C really good for collagen production in our skin and of course another fruit we juicing today are the Cucumbers the Cucumbers add nice water it’s full of of electrolytes and really mild tasting so that’s kind of where we’re going to get a little more of the liquid and dilute some of the stronger flavors of course for extra added flavor we’re going to go ahead and juice a whole organic lime skin pith and all limes lemons can be Juiced whole however you should peel off the coloring of oranges tangerines and grapefruits linked down below to my video where I discuss this further actually juicing them in the nma J2 two different ways so you could you know learn the best way to juice uh the Citrus based on your personal preference now I know you’re thinking you’re thinking John those are all fruits I get that but this last one what the heck is this all right so honestly this is not a fruit however I would categorize this as an honorary fruit this is actually known as a hikma or yam Bean um it is a root vegetable um often used in Mexico and actually in Mexico they actually use this as a fruit you know in Mexico they sometimes will say this compares to eating an apple or a pear because the texture and the sweetness however it is also a low calorie vegetable low in sugar also very high in Prebiotic inulin uh fructo oio saccharides that can feed your microbiome in addition when juicing this the hikima with the softer items it’ll actually help your juicer extract more juice out of the softer items plus of course it adds a lot of nice water content and a little bit of sweetness without the added sugar still keeping this recipe a low calorie recipe and that’s you know really one of the things I’m not a big fan of with the fruit juices when you start juicing the fruits the calories go up and up and because there’s more calories and maybe not as many nutrients as say juicing leafy greens which is actually the recipe I’m personally making after this video for myself which is basically full of phytonutrients and micronutrients and really does not have a lot of calories so there is a place for both but I encourage you if you want to lose weight you want to definitely stick to the lower caloric juices and that’s why this one is definitely a winner so the juicer I’ll be using you know select the right juicer and given you all the information you need to be a juicer for life so on with this video so first up we have to prepare all this produce some of this produce is going to be very easy uh to prepare and some of it more difficult I think what I’ll do is I will give you an abbreviated version of the preparation so for example the Cucumbers I just washed and I usually just cut off both ends that sometimes are a little bit funky and then I just chop this into little pieces all right then I make a nice piles around my cutting board of each different ingredient uh for the lime here I basically just cut it in half cut it in half again and then I cut in half again so I basically have e so I have eight pieces of L super simple super easy make a little pile uh the peppers super simple I basically just cut it in half I will then very importantly remove this little green nby on the top I also want to make sure underneath the NY there’s no black spots as there normally is there are none these are organic Peppers so they’re looking really nice uh and sometimes if all this white stuff comes out with the seeds you actually want to juice that there’s lots of nutrition in there that you would normally never access because normally you would just basically throw these pieces out so you want to just cut the pepper in half I’ll then cut it in half again and then I’ll cut it into little strips so I can be more effective at loading the juicer up so I mean produce preparation is not that difficult if you are wondering what knife I’m am using today to pre-cut my produce this is a cyoa micro serrated ceramic knife yes it is ceramic it is delicate if you drop it it may break but I will say this is the sharpest darn knife that you will ever buy that does not need sharpening if you guys are interested in this knife you can definitely visit my Amazon shop down below where you could buy it singularly but actually the better deal is if you buy it in a three pack with the micro serrated you get a smaller non- serrated pairing knife and a larger chef’s knife which is actually my favorite kit now I will give you the caveat I have broken these knives before so I always have like an extra one in toe just in case I should break my knife because if I don’t have my favorite knife I’m really not a happy camper all right so next up we’re going to go ahead prepare the Tomato so number one I just remove the nubby off the Tomato next up I’ll just cut the tomato in half and then I cut it in half again and then maybe I’ll do two cuts one two so we’re cutting it into a total of 12 pieces of course if your tomatoes are not this large you could actually just put whole cherry tomatoes in without any pre-cutting and that’s going to make your job a little bit easier I’m going to go back and actually pre-cut the rest of this off camera but finally I want to show you guys how to properly prepare a hikima because you may have never seen one of these before in your life I go to my local uh Latin Market uh to buy these they’re very inexpensive when I find them on sale uh they’re anywhere from 33 cents to 50 cents a pound when I buy them on sale sometimes even 25 cents a pound but normally near me they run about a dollar a pound if you go to a normal American style Supermarket this is a specialty item they may be waxed and then they’re at that point going to probably cost you $2 or something or more a pound so to prepare this we do need to remove the skin uh the skin may have toxins in it as is most other parts of the yam Bean including the beans and the leaves which are not eaten so we’re just going to cut off the top and then go around and spin around cut off the bottom now when you buy a hium I always try to look for uniform skin uh you know color like not you know no no major spots and also a nice shape like a nice you know she look like a little UFO and then I I cut off the top the bottom I put it on the cutting board and then I just basically use my knife and I cut all the skin down and I just cut and turn the hikma until I’m all the way around all right as you guys can see I’ve got all the skin removed off that hikma top and bottom next step is I usually generally just cut it in half once I have it cut in half then I’ll cut it uh two more cuts to make some large slices so I have basically three slices right there and then we’ll put this on The Cutting Board and then I’ll basically cut it into like large oversized french fries size and then I’ll turn it and then I’ll cut it into little cubes in this way it’ll work best because what’s going to happen is these little cubes are going to kind of go in at the same time as some of the softer fruits because these cubes are nice and hard the juicer has a really good time at grabbing onto this firm texture and then holding on to it plus the firm texture will make the softer textures ring out more effectively I know some of you guys may not be able to find the hia near you and that’s all right then I would say use another root vegetable that you like I mean I would say maybe the daon radish could get hot and spicy but that’s actually going to be a really nice one to add to this it’ll also stay white so it’s not going to really change the color of your juice maybe another one you might want to use are some white carrots if you could find them or even just some standard orange carrots which also have a hard Roots type texture which will also help your fruits and softer items juice more effectively because the softer fibers of the fruit get rung out between the harder harder fibers that Al also does make more pulp uh in slow juicers so I’ve showed you how I prep each different item I think off camera I’m going to go ahead and prep everything else to save you some time and we’re going to come back when we have all our produce prepared all right as you guys can see I’ve got all the food prepared and prepped and this is how I would encourage you to do it if you are juicing multiple ingredients that way you can Mo most effectively load up the J2 for the best performance because you really want to mix uh you know the different ingredients into the juicer especially diluting almost every hand fill with hikima as much as you can so you guys can see I’ll try to tip this up a little bit so you could see it I have I mean most of the pile is Peppers CU Peppers take a lot of space Also they’re one of the most nutritious fruits in this recipe aside from the tomatoes also they tend to juice a lot better than tomatoes due to their firm texture so actually I would encourage you to juice more Peppers instead of tomatoes um but yeah so I have everything PR cut chopped up we’re just going to go ahead and open up the N jumbo size Hopper largest Hopper on the market and the first thing actually I’m going to give you some tips here that they’re not going to tell you on their channels I’m going to put a piece of lime in first you’re going to drop the lime in right down the hole that basically the processing blade pushes the produce in you want the lime to juice first we’re not juicing apples in this episode but if we were you want to basically coat the inside of the juicer with the lime juice which is acidic which which will help the prevent the polyphenol oxidation and and nutrient loss uh due to some enzymatic reactions and also help preserve your juice for longer next up we’re going to take a whole handful of the tomatoes this honestly will be the most difficult thing to juice because it’s soft and Squishy uh slow juicers definitely don’t like soft and Squishy ingredients that being said the Nama J2 can handle fruit in my opinion better than other slow juicers out there link down below to my video where I juice five different fruits including a whole bunch of tomatoes to make one whole glass of tomato juice without any additional ingredients and they all the fruits were great but after we put the handful of tomatoes in there we don’t definitely want to make sure we put a handful of the hikma so hopefully when the machine rotates all that around it’ll a little bit of each will go in that’ll help the tomatoes get Juiced better than we because we have so many peppers we’re going to put a nice big handful of peppers in even two handfuls of peppers next up we’re going to go ahead and grab some of the Cucumbers drop those in so we’re kind of layering things so they all get mixed up like equally and get Juiced at the same time of course now that we got those softer ingredients in we want to make sure we put a whole bunch of hick in there and then we want to repeat this specific formula so I think I’m just going to go ahead and feed in everything everything else the same ordering as I just shared with you guys we’ll do the off camera uh to save you guys some time so as you guys can see we got the hopper loaded up with the pre-cut produce and now I get to show you my favorite thing about the Nama J2 is we just go ahead and shut the lid lock it in place turn the machine on and let the juicer juice without you normally when this is going I get up and clean some different you know things in the kitchen or whatnot actually I think I have dishes in the sink so I’m going to go ahead and clean those while this is juicing and where to come back at you with and this is completely EMP emptied all without my user intervention that is really the gamechanging technology of the J2 it’s like having your own automated juicing [Music] assistant all right as you guys can see the J2 worked amazingly we almost have a quart and A4 of juice we’re going to go ahead and just lift up the lid the machine stops as a safety feature and now we’re just going to Simply load up the rest of the ingredients once again using the same ordering all right as you guys can see the J2 is fully loaded up we can just drop down the lid and then it continues to juice right where it left off meanwhile I’m going to go ahead and clean some dishes and we’ll be back at you when we’re done juicing [Music] all right as you guys can see the Nama J2 finished without any hitch and I want to show you guys actually what’s left in the hopper because honestly most of you would not understand this but I’ve used many different Hopper juicers and the Nama J2 easily has the hopper that will best empty itself out when you’re done juicing in it a lot of Hoppers will leave extra particulate stuck to the walls and not drop it in the bottom but you guys can see the bottom of that is pretty much empty there’s a few things stuck to the walls but that’s definitely less than other machines I’ve tested and of course underneath you know we’re not seeing any um you know stuck produce that actually did not get juice there always will be some residue in the bottom of the machine uh the way to rectify this is to basically hold back some hikma and then when you’re when it’s done juicing just throw the hikma in there the hikma or other root vegetable will help push all that softer item through the machine so you guys could get those viable items Juiced and in your juice and then also um you know have an a little bit easier time cleaning with less uh particulate in there so this is the juice we made we made basically uh two quarts of juice easily and quickly without much intervention in the N J2 juicer now before I taste test this juice my recipe is not yet done you could drink this juice as is but I want to take it to the next level and we’re going to go ahead and add something in uh to make it even better and actually uh help Propel your weight loss so what we’re going to do today is H I happen to have this which is actually uh the Pickled Planet fermented organic probiotic so this is actually called The takaria Mix you don’t need to get the Takara mix if you have some live or raw sauerkraut kimchi or other fermented vegetable whether you make it at home or pre- it like I did what you want to do is you just want the juice out of there you don’t want to add in any of the uh you know the fermented vegetable but we’re just going to pour off some of the juice some of the liquid off there this is actually lactic acid fermentation juice that we’re going to add in this will actually add beneficial probiotics and also uh organic acids um that the bacteria from the fermented food produces also what I will say is that you don’t want to try to store this juice that long because if you do store this it may start to kind of ferment because now you’re introducing live bacteria if it did start to ferment um that actually could be a good thing because now you’ll have a fermented juice and there’s lots of published studies on fermented juices I don’t have any videos on that yet but of course you know you want to store you don’t want to store this that long but if you do store it once again it may ferment on you but this will add a little bit of extra Spice in the case of this this actually has some hot peppers in there um so it’ll actually make it taste more of a Savory juice versus a sweet juice so next up let’s go ahead and try this amazing weight loss juice recipe with mostly nonset fruits all right there you go to your health I definitely taste the influence of the Pickled Planet like the brine cuz that’s what we’re really using but otherwise to me this is a very neutral juice I I basically taste mostly I taste a little bit of the lime I taste the cucumbers and the peppers the hikma really has no flavor there’s a very faint sweetness to
