Chocolate PB High Protein Overnight Oats:
1 cup plant milk (I used cashew milk)
2 scoops chocolate protein powder
2 TBSP peanut butter powder
1/2 cup rolled oats
50g banana sliced (about half a small banana)
splash of vanilla
Add all of it to a jar and refrigerate overnight.

[Music] welcome back to another episode of plant-based ads I’m Joey Troxel all right so we have a lot going on uh you probably know if you watch the show that I’m a teacher uh and the school year just ended and that my son Lex our son uh Lex uh was a senior and he just graduated it was a crazy week because our our nephew Lex’s cousin Logan in Florida graduated the week before so the whole family went to Florida to watch Logan’s graduation and then the next weekend well that Thursday uh ours was on a Thursday for some reason everyone flew to Arizona and was here uh for lexa’s graduation there was some great photos I’ll throw some on the screen there were a lot of smiles the extended family was here my family was here Tim’s family was here which I think that’s the first time uh that they actually intermingled with each other so they really don’t know each other uh it’s always either my family or Tim’s family they’re not usually combined uh and that one off without a hitch like there was so much fun uh cousins got to get together and see each other for the first time in years old friends uh old family we hadn’t seen in a while like it was so much fun and let me just tell you I am just so glad that Lex is done with High School uh you know it’s been a as a parent 18 years getting them to this point it’s a lot of work and there’s just some relief knowing that you know this part of their life is is kind of theirs now it’s time for them to make some of their own decisions so he’ll be staying at home of course and uh for the next few years while he goes to Community College and and I’ll still be there to do all the things that I do but there’s just more Independence now like he’s driving and you know he’s going to get himself up for school and go to school himself because he’s not with me anymore at the high school so this there’s starting to be the separation which is which is really nice um I mean if he could learn to cook for himself and and you know that sort of thing that would be great but you know baby steps right all right so I have a new video out on the other channel it’s just called Joey Troxel I hate that it’s named after me but I’m I’m the only one on it right now uh it’s Lex’s old gaming channel gaming with Lex I just took it over cuz he didn’t want to do it anymore and I’m just using as my Vlog channel so my new video is link to it right here talks about my 5 month scan and how successful it was not only am I losing body fat but I’ve gained a bunch of muscle uh which is really frustrating when you’re using the scale to measure yourself because you’re losing all this body fat and you’re not even losing weight you’re actually gaining weight because because you’re gaining muscle so but in the end that’s what I want uh you know the scale is not really a good a good tool for judging recomposition so check out that video so much information there of course like normal I go through the scans all the numbers and I show you how the numbers work out these 3D body scans are amazing they just tell you everything you ever want to know about yourself and I get them like every 6 weeks so it’s a good way to judge how I’m doing my sister April the Mediterranean Maiden she’s got a new video on too it’s all about those those like little like tortillas that you make a cut and then you put four different things in and you fold them over I’ve never seen that before uh and I was like wow check this out and I kind of told everyone about this video and they were all like yeah that’s been out for a while and I’m like really I like no idea so I’m so behind on that stuff but check that out uh it looks really good so many opportunities to make it you know make your own with with uh your own you know your own take on what to put in there for sure today we’re doing uh high protein overnight oats I I mean I’m sure you you’ve seen so many overnight oats videos I have one April has one there’s a link right here uh if you want to check that out and and you know they’re all great but just they’re not high protein enough and they’re not low calorie enough I watch people online who are doing high protein vegan and they’re making overnight oats and putting the stuff in and I put it in the chronometer and they’re like oh it’s 40 gram of protein I look at that and I go it is 40 gram of protein and it’s 1,00 calories right like for one meal that’s not going to work for me so these overnight oats I’m showing you they’re high protein they’re lower in calorie considering they’re vegan and they are such a great option so check these out you’re going to absolutely love love these visually they’re stunning and I’ve had every single one of these over and over again one of them is my absolute favorite and I’ll tell you which one that is I probably have like that 3 to four days a week uh but they’re all a good choice if you’re opting for oatmeal plus you know you get the the benefits of the oatmeal and the fruit you know the the fiber and the antioxidants and the nutrients and all that stuff you just can’t go wrong with oatmeal I mean there are just some things that that you know that food gives you that a protein can’t and and fiber is one of them all right let’s get to the food for all our overnight oats we are using Earth chimp vegan organic protein mix it has the cleanest ingredients it’s low in calories overnight oat recipes can change when you make them depending on which plant milk you use I’m using this silk cashew milk with a touch of almond this one comes in at 25 calories per cup but it only has 1 g of protein if you use a higher protein milk you’re going to get a lot more protein but you’re going to get a lot more calories it’s up to you we’re using PB fit peanut butter powder it’s lower in fat lower in calories and I just get it at Costco we’re using pb2 original cashew powder it’s lower in fat lower in calories and there’s a link below this video on where you can get yours we’re going to start with a chocolate peanut butter high protein overnight oats our chocolate peanut butter oats comes in at 403 calories 34 4 g of protein 9 G of fat and about 56 carbohydrates it is absolutely my favorite way to start the day I like to mix the protein powder and any other powders and the milk all together with a little froter before I put it into the oats so it doesn’t so it all you know just makes sure it all like dissolves I know it’s a little OCD but that’s what I do so I’m going to start with one cup of plant milk I’m using uh cashew milk here but you can use whatever you have and your Macros change based on the milk that you use then I’m adding two scoops of Earth Chim chocolate protein powder again the macros change based on how much protein powder you put in and next I’m going to add 2 tbspoon of this PB fit uh peanut butter powder then I’m going to take my milk frother and just mix all this together with the milk froth you can just use a whisk or whatever you want but I like to make sure it’s all mixed together before I pour this into my oats and you can see here that’s getting really nice and mixed up this is just the way I like it all right I’m going to set that aside for a second and get started on the oats I’m starting with my Mason drw funnel link down in the description below and I’m start all my oats off with 1/2 cup of roll dos to that I’m adding 50 g or 1/2 of a small banana all kind of sliced and chopped up this one is frozen but it’ll fall out nicely and now I’m can just add in my milk mixture notice how thick it is it’s absolutely beautiful cuz the pb2 powder has thickened uh with the milk in there and it’s really really nice if you want to you can add a little splash of vanilla on top and then I like to just grab a spoon and kind of mix it all up from the bottom to make sure that it all gets uh Incorporated down there and you can see those nice chunks of banana right there that’s going to thicken up beautifully now all I need to do is put the cover on and put it in the fridge this one’s ready to go how blueberry high protein overnight oats comes in at 396 calories 31 g of protein 10 G of fat and 53 G of carbohydrates it’s a delicious addition to our high protein repertoire again I’m going to follow the same process here but you don’t have to do this this is just what I do I’m going to put in one cup of the cashew milk I’m also putting in two scoops of the earth chimp vanilla protein powder and I’m also going to be using this pb2 cashew powder here we’re using 2 tbsp of that that’ll thicken it up a little bit give it a little more protein without changing the flavor again milk frother don’t judge and you can see here that is mixed really nice the of protein powders just mixed so beautifully they’re just not grainy at all now I’m going to put that to the side for a bit and now it’s time to start with our next mason jar again just like last time 1/2 a cup of rolled oats next we’re adding 3/4 of a cup of frozen blueberries or about 75 G and then we’re just going to add our milk mixture right to the jar you may have to kind of move it around to get all the milk down there because the the oats there are taken up all the space below there and the blueberri so just move it around a little bit and you’ll see there’s plenty of room for all of it but this is a full jar of Oats all right our blueberry oats are ready to go I’m just going to throw this in the fridge and let it thicken up that one is ready to go our strawberry banana high protein overnight oats comes in at 428 calories 32 g of protein 9 G of fat and 62 carbohydrates this meal is one of my favorite ways to get a fresh start on my morning for our high protein strawberry banana oat we’re going to follow the same process as we just did one cup of plant milk two scoops of Earth chimp vanilla protein powder and again 2 tablespoons of that pb2 cashew powder again it thickens it up without any extra flavor and give some more protein fro mhm and you can see that mixture is looking nice and smooth I just love Earth Chim protein powders all right we’ll move that aside for a bit and we’ll break out our last uh Basin jar here pho again half a cup of rolled oats next we’re going to add half a cup or about 75 G of frozen strawberries then I’m adding 50 g or about half of a small banana chopped up of course and then I’m going to take my milk mixure and pour it in there and I may have to move it around a little bit to get it all in just use your spoon to kind of get the bottom moving so it all gets down there all right now it’s time for the cap and our strawberry banana eye protein oats is ready to go in the fridge and we’ll see you in the morning morning once these things have stored overnight in the fridge it’s time to open them up you can see here if you kind of mix it up a little bit that is just a very nice overnight oats right there look how nice and thick that is that looks gorgeous very nice you can dress this up with a little chocolate chip action right here or even a little chocolate shavings and how good does that look perfect chocolate overnight oats this is going to be amazing and it’s one of my favorite time to digg in all right let’s take a look at our blueberry oats oh look how good that looks holy smoke oh man I can’t wait to taste this one nice and thick and look at all those beautiful blueberries right there oh yeah this is just gorgeous you can top this with a few extra frozen blueberries right on top and how amazing does that look holy smoke that’s Perfection right there blueberry oats ready to eat and then last but not least we’ve got our strawberry banana you want to give this a little mix here and get some of that strawberry goodness to the top oh yeah you can throw a few fresh strawberries on top of that and a few banana slices and holy smoke look how good that looks that is a perfect strawberry banana overnight oats holy smoke you’re going to absolutely love this one this one is just perfection and there you have it three beautiful high protein Dair free plant-based overnight oats any one of these is a great way to start your day woo me hungry all right so as you saw in there this is because before Earth Shimp this is what I had to do I take the powders and the milk and mix all that up first so it’s it’s not grainy because before Earth chm came along right I would throw I would put everything in the jar like the blueberries and all that and throw the protein powder in and mix it all up put the milk in and throw it in the uh the fridge and the next day I go to eat it and I’m literally eating fruit with like protein powder on the fruit and then Along Came Earth chimp and you really don’t have to worry about that anymore cuz Earth chimp is not grainy it’s very fine but because of that I still do it the same way where I take the the mixture and I mix it all up first with the fro and get it kind of you know creamy and then pour that over the oats so you don’t have to do that you literally can just make these in a jar like you would like like a normal person would but uh you know me like I have my ways of doing things and I I just hate chained so this is how I do it for me but with Earth Shimp you don’t have to worry about that their stuff is so fine it’s going to dissolve anyway just shake it up and you’re good I’ll tell you that my favorite one is absolutely the chocolate you know that if you’ve watched this channel you know I’m a chocaholic uh but that strawberry banana one oh man so good this just like something tropical about strawberries and bananas together the blueberry one is so good when you want more antioxidants and all that stuff like they’re all great choices I could go on and on with those those different types of high protein uh uh overnight oats but the the the deal is that you know you mix a little protein powder with some fluid you throw it in there and you’re good the other thing is you know the chocolate one I’ve gotten as high as 450 uh calories and 40 grams of protein like much higher but that’s with that uh the silk uh soy milk uh the high protein soy milk that’s that’s 8 Gams of protein uh per cup with the D it’s like double it’s triple the calories it’s 80 calories for is 25 so you know it your Macros will depend on uh on how you know how you make this depending on what kind of soy milk or or almond milk or whatever milk you’re using in oats I’m not really looking for you know like a 40 or 50 gram of protein meal like I am at dinner uh it’s the start of my day so I want the low calories that’s really where I want to be I just don’t want to start the morning off with so many calories like I just feel doomed for the rest of the day all right that’s our video for today
