Ingredients:
1.yellow moong dal – 1 cup
2.green chilli – 5 nos
3.ginger – 1 inch
4.cummin seeds – 1 tbsp
5.turmeric – 1/2 tbsp
6.cilantro – 4 tbsp
7.asafoetida – 1/4 tbsp
8.salt to taste
9.water – 3 tbsp
10.oil for roasting

Recipe:
-firstly, in a large bowl moong dal for 3-4 hours or overnight.
-after that drain off the water and transfer to the mixi jar.
-add green chilli,ginger and cumin seeds in it.
-blend to smooth paste adding water if required.
-transfer the batter to the bowl.
-also turmeric, cilantro, asafoetida and salt.
-mix well adding water forming thick flowing consistency chilla batter.
-further, pour a ladleful of batter onto a hot tawa and spread gently.
-pour some oil over chilla.
-cover and allow cooking on a medium flame for a minute.
-now flip the chilla and cook both sides pressing gently.
-finally, moong dal chilla is ready to eat
-serve with green coconut chutney.
