good morning guys welcome back to my Channel today I’m sharing a little day in my life first off I’m actually starting this the evening before and I’m prepping my cold brew coffee you guys saw this in one of my last videos and you were asking how I did it so here you go this cold brew coffee picture I got on Amazon I’ll link it in my description box but basically I fill the piter with water and then in the filter part in the center I put in coarse ground coffee I went to Starbucks grabbed a bag of their whole beans and they’ll actually grind it to your preference for you there in store at the counter but you could also just purchase coar ground beans or grind your own at one of your local grocery stores and you can use whatever coffee you prefer any coffee will work you just want to make sure it’s coar ground so not too much of it gets through the filter I fill my filter about halfway up with grounds this is about 8 tablespoons worth secure the lid put that into the pitcher of water screw it [Music] tight and give it a good shake so that all of the grounds get wet and then you just put this whole pitcher in your fridge overnight and by morning you’ll have delicious cold brew coffee so mine is ready this morning and I’m going to make an iced cold brew coffee with some caramel drizzle I’ve been loving using a scale to measure out my coffee in the morning cuz then I can make it exactly the way I want it without worrying about measuring out tablespoons I can just visually do my coffee how I want but I still have the accurate measurements to put into my fitness pal for my calorie count so for instance I did a caramel drizzle around my glass and it’s 11 G of caramel I filled it with ice then I added my cold brew coffee which is about 1 and 1/2 cups and a splash of 2% milk which was 2 and 1/2 oz sometimes I do creamer but since I used the caramel for my sweetener today I just added regular milk delish after I got my coffee going of course my kids were ready for breakfast and this morning we’re doing some good oldfashioned waffles I use my mini waffle maker and the crusy waffle mix I followed the directions except I swapped the oil for an equal amount of applesauce to help cut down on the cow a bit but I toasted these off and I had mine with some peanut butter and blueberries and then to get more protein in for breakfast I did have a fair Life protein shake and chocolate for 30 gr of protein we are out bright and early this morning trying to beat the heat and get outside still so we’re on a nice big walk in our neighborhood we’re heading to a new park it’s a little bit of an adventure right girlies we’re adventuring to a new playground it’s a mile lock there and a mile lock back plus play time in the middle so I’m hoping they will do okay ready to roll y all right she’s got her scooter so hopefully she won’t get too tired princess Nora gets the real treatment in the stroller hey sweet pee you rolling but yes it’s already very warm it’s like mid 880s but it’s super humid today so anyway we had to get out while we could before it hit mid90s oh my gosh I think my eyelids are sweating luckily we have patches of these big Shady oak trees in our neighborhood so keeping us a little bit cooler it’s definitely way cooler in the shade um I did use my Google Maps to double check the mileage and how long of a walk this would be it said it was like a 24 minute walk there and back which is good it’s not too long for the kids so let’s see how long it takes us to get to the park uh a lot longer when I’m with kids cuz we stop and start for water breakes frequently we made it took about 25 minutes with our water brakes yay you’re on a roller coaster PE peek boo peek boo peek boo all right I’m cowgirl all right we’ve been at the park for just over an hour we had snack we are on our way home it’s nice that the clouds are out and it’s a little bit Breezy so not too hot right Lou yep she’s eating snack on her way she was too busy playing with a new friend do you have fun mhm oh spoke too soon and there comes this sun again are you getting tired yeah a big morning outside walking home well 35 minutes later and uh we’re still walking home lla decided to walk instead of use her scooter on the way back it’s been a bit of a struggle but you know what we got some great exercising today huh mhm here you go Blue pop for lla cooling off in the AC we got our Waters and we got our popsicles we earn these huh we walk two miles more than I did four miles no not four miles I did check our map cuz I said it in my walking app before we left and we did between our trip there and our trip back we did 2.4 miles so almost 2 and 1 half miles Lou that was a big walk for you good job anyway we’re having our popsicle treat I’m going to make them lunch here in just a little bit and then it is Nora’s nap time and quiet time for Lyla she can take a little rest maybe watch a movie or something I have some editing to get done M Green’s the best I love lime and if you have kids these little popsicle holders are great their hands don’t get cold and it helps make it easier to like push the popsicle up a little bit here you go noodle thank you you’re welcome is that good pops mhm for a quick protein filled lunch I use one of these Columbus seasoned turkey burgers I get at Costco I just air fried mine for about 12 minutes on 400° I’m chopping it up and putting it in a bowl with 1 Cup of the flame grilled fajitas from purita these I warmed up in the microwave and I mixed it together with a cup of steamed jasmine rice that was left over from dinner the other night super fast simple healthy and 35 g of protein in this one bowl well we had a very busy an active morning um while the girls did some quiet time and nor was napping I went ahead and like kind of showered up and got dressed for the day because this afternoon I’m actually going to take lla on a little mommy daughter date she is going to get her haircut at a kids salon hair is crazy long it has been way too long since we’ve gotten her a haircut it’s been too long since I’ve gotten myself a haircut that’s also on the docket coming up hopefully in the next month I don’t know why I have such a fear of trying new salons and ever since we moved to Texas um back last fall I have not gotten a haircut since we lived in Georgia because I’m like afraid to try a new stylist I don’t know I I have like hair fear also I feel like you guys see in the videos I wear my hair up in like a messy knot or in a claw clip like 98% of the time so just hasn’t been a big priority but I have a couple big events coming up later this summer I’m going up to Chicago to throw my sister a baby shower my husband’s brothers getting married um in early September so it’s it’s time we need like a little refresh we need to start feeling good about our appearance and I feel like a hair cut goes so far in like some self-confidence for me so that’s definitely on the list for the next few weeks I got to start doing my research and find a good place to go get my hair done but here’s my little look of the day I got some jean shorts on a black tank and then this this is just like a white um ignore all the laundry I have to fold over there I just pulled out of the dryer um but this is just like a white linen button down um I feel like it just like adds a little layer anyway not so bad I will say these shorts I got last spring before Josh and I went on our cruise together just the two of us and our like little husband wife getaway last year for our anniversary and they’re a size 18 they are from Target they’re like the Ava and Viv I I think collection they have a lot of stretch in them though cuz I feel like sizing is so crazy among all the different stores like these shorts are a size 18 but I feel like my jeans that are a size 20 from Old Navy fit really snugly right now so anyway you know what we’re making it work right now I definitely it’s a good motivational goal I feel like as I’m starting to lose weight you get to go shopping and get new stuff and that’s always fun anyway Josh is home and hanging out with Nora and I’m about to go get Lyla Chang and dress and ready to go on our date you ready to go for our girl date today yeah we going go get a haircut finally let’s see your before let’s see how long this hair is oh my goodness guys she was sitting on the floor the other day crisscross applesauce and she was sitting on the ends of it it’s tooo long yeah all right give us a spin cute dress let’s go here we go you ready Salon time [Music] look at you it’s got glitter got like 6 in cut off you like it you’re such a big girl you got like layers going on oh and you got Sparkle cheeks Sam see up so cute couldn’t have a special mommy daughter date without going out for dinner right so I got the grilled chicken club this looks so good I love their wheat buns they’re nice here and then Lyla likes both the mac and cheese and chicken so I subbed out mac and cheese for her fries so she’s actually going to share some of my fries so I’ll probably do about half of that medium fry I have a diet doct pepper to drink got to have some quick options for when you’re on the go and this one packs 40 g of protein into this meal so a pretty good choice for when you’re out it’s really good all right we’re going to let our special evening keep rolling um we a couple days ago made a new Ninja creamy base lla what kind of ninja creamy are we going to make today we’re going to make banana swirl banana swirl and it’s from Daniel Tiger Lyla used to love Daniel Tiger when she was your age I mean we still love Daniel Tiger Daniel Tiger’s good people but in one of um the story books we had Daniel and his mom made a brand new dessert that they call banana swirl and it’s just Blended frozen bananas and since we have our ninja creamy now we thought let’s give our own hand at making some banana swirl ice cream so the only thing about the ninja creamy is you kind of have to plan ahead for some dessert options because these do need to freeze at least overnight or 24 hours I think is what the directions technically say um before you can spin them into ice cream so here is the um container that we prepped for our base this is Three Bananas sliced up you can see all the slices that we piled in I added half a cup of 2% milk and then the brown bits on top is just some cinnamon so a little extra flavor add a little pinch of salt um and then you just wanted to make sure that it’s like pressed as flat as possible in the container for the blade so let’s make some banana swirl Lyla oh Millie’s hoping to get some ice cream too she knows the sound of the creamy now all right we got that in there make sure it’s locked in careful Mommy will do this part this has the blade thank you I like that you’re a Helper but you still make me nervous even as a big six-year-old yes twist twist until it clicks there you go a button a button you’re my button Pusher she’s good at pushing my buttons all right push the full button full the one in the Middle full press the F okay go ahead and turn the dial we’re going to try this on the sorbet setting since it’s mostly fruit um you could try the light ice cream but I I think this is going to be the right setting for this one it’s a little bit of trial in error it’s our first time making it all right lla do the honors click the center button and There She Goes woo it like this s swirl for banana swirl oh she’s so loud all right so here’s after spin number one so we’re going to add a little splash of milk respin and after respin there she is I smell that banana don’t you guys creamy dreamy smell it right now huh can’t actually smell it okay first taste test take a part of it don’t I was not expecting you to take that whole big bite BR isn’t that cold nor you want a bite taste test for you for you little Miss mess ooh it’s banana what do you think aate there is chocolate on there lyla’s using a sugar cone but I found these at HB the other day and they’re these little chocolate rimmed um cake cone cups and they’re like just the perfect size for a little sweet treat the cone is only $45 calories and for the three of us having ice cream Josh didn’t want any right now um but there’s all this left and I can smooth this out and refreeze it for more servings that we can respin another day a perfect little sweet treat the banana the chocolate the cinnamon all go so great together and this little guy comes in at just over 100 calories perfect sweet little bite if you don’t have a ninja cream you can use any of these recipes this one in particular the banana one you can definitely use a blender I actually have made a version of this a couple years back I think it was and I did use a blender with frozen bananas some milk we blended it all up popped it in a container and then put it back in the freezer just to kind of firm up and then you can put like peanut butter drizzle on it or chocolate chips it e don’t crush it eat it nice but having this ninja creamy it’s just so easy to make a nice little treat for in the evening and there’s so many great healthy low calorie options even when we’re not doing like protein ice cream and I like these options because I can make them and share them with my kids cuz personally I just don’t give my kids like protein powder or drinks nice to still have some options that I can make that are low calorie for me and a good treat for them that we can like all share so delish I’m about to get these kiddos cleaned up and in bed as soon as this little messy treat is over so we’ll check in with you guys in a little bit definitely been a very busy day lots of stuff today I think the kids are a bit over tired they are
