here’s how you can make legendary chicken shower at home Shawarma is a traditional Middle Eastern Street Food it’s layered meat that gets put on a vertical skewer and it’s cooked for hours as it spins the street food vendor shaves pieces off for each individual and today we’re going to show you how to make this Middle Eastern Street food at home so my friends the first thing we’re going to start off with chicken thighs you can use the chicken breast but preferably the chicken thighs because it’s more juicy so I get the chicken thighs I put some in the handy dandy Bowl don’t be afraid to make as much Shawarma as you want because who doesn’t love Shawarma I’m gonna add a little bit of tomato based lemon juice a nice secret I like to add some of the zest I must bring these disaster since the dishwasher of course just a little bit of zest my friends not too much because it will make it bitter we add a little bit of vinegar but don’t put too much it will make zamid stringy my friend who likes stringy chicken now my friends let’s get his voices in my opinion the most important part is the season the Masala it has to be on point we’re going to start off with a little bit of turmeric coriander black pepper smoked paprika onion powder allspice some MSG don’t believe the rumors my friend and we got some ground clove I know we’re flying through the spices but it’s pretty self-explanatory just use these specific spices to get the proper chicken shawarma Flavor now that everything is well seasoned I’m gonna hit our chicken with a little bit of olive oil and I’m just gonna give this operation a quick massage and as I like to say we’re gonna marinate until we lose patience and after 24 hours of marinating you can begin cooking so to mimic a vertical rotisserie we’re just gonna get us oh we’re just going to get a pan screeching hot and we’re going to get some color on our chicken so let’s add some neutral oil into the pan so you don’t want to overcrowd the pan so the chicken begins to boil you want to make sure each side gets some nice golden brown and then once each side gets nice and golden brown you can reduce the heat so it can cook until it’s nice and juicy now that these fine gentlemen have showed you how to properly cook our chicken I’m going to toss them on our cutting board to give them an opportunity to rust this is going to let all those juices pull back together it’s gonna keep our chicken nice and tender with a super sharp knife you want to get really thin slices these thin slices are just to mimic that vertical rotisserie shavings that you get from the traditional Shawarma if you feel like some of your chicken pieces are not thoroughly cooked after you cut them you could toss them back into the pan and get them nice and crispy again I want to teach you a really cool trick on how to get a very beautifully Smoky flavor for the Shawarma I’m going to transfer the chicken into a pot with the lid I’m just gonna form it kind of into a nice little circle and right now what I did is I lined up a little Ramekin with a bunch of aluminum foil this is just the smallest bowl that I own I’m gonna put in a little bit of olive oil I’m gonna toss that into the middle of the chicken and over here I have a lit charcoal as I toss it onto the olive oil it’s going to create smoke and because we’re gonna shut it up with a little is going to flavor all that chicken beautifully right now that chicken is eating up all that Smoky flavor this is done smoking When the Smoke runs clear inside the pot which should only take you five to ten minutes five minutes have passed the chicken’s ready hi my friends how are you okay my friends now for the bread there’s two choices you can use the nice soft bitter bread or you can use a thin Saj bread for this example I’m going to use the nice soft bit of bread yeah garlic sauce we’re making the video oh my God so my friends now there are many ways to make a shawarma today we are going to make it with the garlic the pickles the fries and the chicken first thing we’re going to use is the garlic sauce if you want to learn how to make garlic sauce go to ahmed’s next video I give you the choice of regular garlic or spicy garlic if you want to grow some hair on your chest use that as my second a nice generous amount you can never have too much garlic and you just slap it on your bitter bread just like that after that you get the chicken we get a nice handful amount after that we put on the Miracles some nice generous amount of the vehicles you can get these pickles anywhere from your local Middle Eastern shop after the battles we’re going to get the fresh fries shout out to the belgians I’m gonna put a nice generous amount up to you some peoples you can put like six sticks or you can put 20 sticks whatever you like my friend if you want to be fancy bands you can mix the fresh cut fries and triple fry them in the duck fat and all that nice stuff or if you want to be easy busy go get some frozen fries put some in the airfryer 20 minutes boom done you don’t want to put too much so I’m gonna add a little bit amount right here like that just like that after that we’re going to wrap it off remember my friends if it’s not tight it’s not right haha everybody knows that so we’re gonna wrap it up just like that I take the top I get it in between poke your fingers to make it nice and tight then you just roll it over just like that my friends now we’re gonna go and toast it up another alternative to zabita bread is the sauce bread I cut in half because I don’t want so much bread so we’re going to lay it down like that this time we’re gonna add some regular garlic sauce then we’re going to add the chickens now I’m going to eat all the fries so we’re going to use just this little amount he has left here the pomegranate molasses if you want to make it hot like yourself add some shot talk my friends this is like a chili paste it looks like ketchup my friend we don’t do that huh why you ruin the video and say that word that’s like a bad word my friend no so we don’t put on the ketchup so after that I’m going to wrap it up my friends noise and tight now we have the one in zabita bread nice and toasted you know it’s nice and toasted when the bread is sealed to the other Edge so I’m going to cut it up just like that and as always in the description don’t you forget to show love to Golden Gully in the shower my man AKA Shelby comment like And subscribe
