[Music] hey everyone and welcome back to healthy days my name is Melissa if you are new here I create videos helping people out along their weight loss Journey this is part of my weight loss salad of the week Series where each week I will upload a new salad for you to follow along step by step at home let’s go make it now this week we will be making a watermelon and chia seed fruit salad this is one of my favorite summertime salads it’s so delicious and so refreshing let’s go make it together on my channel you will find a variety of weight loss tips so go ahead and hit that subscribe button so you never miss a video I upload new videos each week and now for the fun part I want to invite you into the weekly challenge to make the commitment to yourself to prioritize your weight loss it’s so important to to you so you have to prioritize it into your daily life this watermelon and berry salad combines hydrating fruits fiber healthy fats and antioxidants to create a balanced delicious dish that supports both gut health and weight loss remember making the commitment to yourself to make the salad this week is creating a discipline and a healthy mindset towards your weight loss so now that you’ve made that commitment to yourself let’s go ahead and go over the ingredients for this salad three cups watermelon cubed one cup strawberries sliced one cup blueberries half a cup raspberries one4 cup slivered walnuts 1 tbspoon chia seeds the juice of one lime one tablespoon honey and a pinch of salt I am so excited to make this fruit salad with you and I am telling you this one is going to be a family favorite so not only are you taking care of your weight loss and taking care of your gut health you are setting such a good example in getting your family started in making healthier choices in a large bowl combine the watermelon strawberries blueberries and raspberries next go ahead and sprinkle the walnuts and chia seeds over the mixed fruits then in a separate small bowl go ahead and whisk together the lime juice honey and a pinch of salt mix it up good so it’s all really well combined and finally drizzle the dressing over the fruit gently toss to ensure everything is well coated you can enjoy this salad immediately or refrigerate it for an hour to let the flavors all melt together like I said this is such a family favorite this is the perfect salad to bring if you’re going somewhere and you’re asked to bring a dish this one will be gone off the table before you know it now if you’re anything like me you want to know why it’s going to work for calories but rich in vitamins minerals and antioxidents all of my salads are made with intentional ingredients that are going to help you on your weight loss Journey the healthy fats in the walnuts provide the healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats healthy fats are satiating helping to curb Cravings we don’t want to overlook how important it is for us to be satiated when we eat otherwise we’re going to keep seeking that satiating and we’re going to overeat this salad is high in fiber berries and chia seeds are both excellent sources of dietary fiber promoting healthy digestion and supporting gut health and you’ll hear me me say it over and over again in my videos gut health is the key to maintained sustained long-term weight loss this salad is also packed with
