today we’re going to grab a couple cans of tuna and some other basic ingredients and we’re going to create a very simple yet delicious recipe we’re talking a creamy tuna pasta salad and let me tell you this dish has so many great textures and flavors to it it’s effortless to put together where there’s no tricky techniques or special equipment needed and the best part it’s all done in under 30 minutes folks this is the perfect pasta salad for any time of the year as you can serve it chilled or even at room temperature either way it’s the kind of food that with each bite it’s going to fill you with so much goodness this video is sponsored by tienda.com La Tienda is an online Superstore focusing on selling all things Spain for your home and kitchen and they’ve been around since 1996 and like I always tell you they have the biggest selection of artisan Spanish ingredients like queso manchego the famous jamon serrano and jamon iberico marcona almonds olives the beautiful canned seafood from Spain which we’re going to be using in today’s recipe and all the spices you need to make all your favorite Spanish recipes among so many other great ingredients and let me tell you when it comes to cookware they have an amazing selection of authentic Spanish paella pans that range in size from two servings all the way up to 50 servings and they even offer classic grilling systems that way you can always perfectly cook your paella folks visit tienda.com let them know Albert from Spain on the fork sent you there and make sure use coupon code ONAFORK during checkout for 10% off your order alright let’s just dive right into this I’m going to fill a stock pot with some water you want to go to a little over the halfway point then we’ll season generously with sea salt and heat it with a high heat once it comes to a boil I’m going to measure our 8 oz of fusilli pasta which is 225 grams and add it into the stock pot you can use other thick cut pastas here such as penne or even bow tie pasta and you don’t have to mix the pasta around continuously but do get in there every 2 to 3 minutes that way it doesn’t stick together and it all evenly cooks once the pasta’s just cooked al dente important to check the package instructions in the pasta you’re using we’ll remove the stock pot from the heat and drain the pasta into a colander while the pasta is cooling off let’s get the rest of our ingredients ready I’m going to thinly slice one small red onion finely chop one red bell pepper thinly slice half a cup of black pitted olives which is 60 grams and roughly chop a small handful of parsley to end up with 2 tablespoons which is 8 grams and we’ll also drain two cans of tuna in olive oil into a fine sieve with a bowl underneath and gently flake the tuna the size of the cans that I’m using are 4 oz which is 110 grams each link where you can get the Spanish tuna I’m using in the description box below okay let’s move back to the pasta once it’s cool enough to handle we’ll transfer it into a large bowl and add in all the chopped ingredients and the drained tuna then we’ll add in one container of low-fat plain Greek yogurt the size of the container I’m using is 200 grams which is about 7 oz we’ll also finally grate in one large clove of garlic as always if you don’t have a grater you can just finally mince it and season everything with sea salt and a generous portion of freshly cracked black pepper and we’ll give it a mix until everything’s well mixed together once everything is well mixed this dish is ready to go once again you can serve this at room temperature or even chilled it’ll hold for up to 3 to 4 days in the fridge either way check it out our creamy tuna pasta salad is done heart healthy ingredients beautiful presentation and all done in under 30 minutes let’s give it a try and see how it turned out seriously folks one of the easiest recipes we’ve ever done here on the show let’s see how it tastes here we go that is a bowl of goodness that is right on the money the pasta is beautifully cooked al dente once again so important to check the package instructions and all the vegetables and the tuna such a beautiful texture and flavor but for me the real winner is that we used Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream making this so much healthier folks give this a try at home once again at room temperature or chilled and next a crunchy baguette and a bottle of chilled white wine and you’re going to have yourself the best moment of your day really quick before I go a shout out to a couple of my patreons Emily Hamilton, Manuel J Rosales, David
