🌽 Welcome to our channel! Today, we’re sharing a quick, healthy, and flavorful snack recipe: Steamed Masala Corn. This easy-to-make snack is perfect for any time of the day and is packed with delicious Indian spices. Follow along to learn how to make this tasty and nutritious treat at home.
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh corn kernels (or frozen, thawed)
1 teaspoon chaat masala
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon black salt (kala namak)
Salt to taste
Juice of 1 lemon
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish – optional)
Instructions:
Steam the Corn: If using fresh corn, remove the kernels from the cob. Steam the corn kernels in a steamer for 5-7 minutes, or until tender. If using frozen corn, thaw and steam them accordingly.
Prepare the Masala: In a mixing bowl, combine the chaat masala, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, black salt, and regular salt. Mix well.
Mix with Corn: Transfer the steamed corn to a large bowl. Sprinkle the prepared masala mix over the corn and toss to coat evenly.
Add Lemon Juice: Add the juice of one lemon over the spiced corn and mix well.
Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves(optional) and serve hot.
Tips:
Adjust the spice levels according to your taste preferences.
For an extra crunch, you can add finely chopped onions and bell peppers.
This masala corn can be served as a side dish, snack, or even a topping for salads and wraps.
