Detailed recipe for Chia Seed cracker :-
Ingredients-
1. Chia seeds – 1/2 cup
2. Besan (gram flour) – 1/2 cup
3. Salt – 1 1/2 tsp (as per taste)
4. Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
5. Coriander powder – 1 1/2 tsp
6. Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
7. Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
8. Bhuna jeera powder – 1 tsp
9. Kasoori methi – 1 tbsp
10. White Sesame seed – 1 tbsp
11. Oil – for brushing/greasing
Method –
1. Soak chia seed in a cup of water for 15 mins.
2. In a separate bowl add soaked chia seed, besan & all the spices.
3. Mix well & make a dough ** no need to add more water **
4. Grease your hand if you feel the dough is too sticky.
5. Grease 2 baking sheets & in between both the baking sheets keep the dough & roll into thin sheet like 2-3 mm
6. Sprinkle white Sesame seed on top & roll again to press them.
7. Trasnfer to a baking tray & make cut marks. bake for 25-30 mins on 160° or until they turn light golden.
8. To bake it on kadai – pre-heat kadai for 10-12 mins on low flame & keep a stand in it.
9. On that stand keep the baking tray.
10. Cover & bake on lowest flame for 40-45 mins or until they turn crisp & golden.
Now let them cool down & keep them in airtight jar. your chia seed cracker is ready to enjoy with any dip of your choice..
