I ate 5000 calories for a year | eating 5000 calories for a year | Body transformation #calories #transformation #5000calories Having come from a very low calorie intake of no more than 2000 calories I have managed to reverse diet & increase metabolism to 4000, 5000 & sometimes even 6000 calories per day to maintain my weight for the past year

I wasn’t always eating this much & one look back to over a year ago with my first ever iifym full day of eating shows that i ate 3800-4000 calories back then meaning that for a year, In my many failed attempts to bulk & build muscle I have increased my maintenance calories & increased my metabolism by 500-1000 calories as my Bodyweight has not changed much at all. In fact i am slightly lighter now than i was a year ago in that full day of eating vid yet eating 5000 calories which is more calories than back then so how is it possible? I ate 5000 calories for a year yet my body transformation is non-existent?

Well, while I won’t go into all the details about the metabolic adaptations, hormones & the true science of a reverse diet & how to boost metabolism, hopefully the vid I did on that here –

gives you an insight into metabolism & how you can expect to increase your metabolism in an evidence based way to increase maintenance calories. However, as I discussed in the truth about being shredded & how maintenance calories & metabolism are highly adaptable through metabolic adaptation i thought I’d go into the opposite of that vid & dive into exploring the metabolic adaptations to OVERfeeding as opposed to in the truth about being shredded vid I discussed the metabolic adaptations to UNDERfeeding

If you are truly interested in the science behind a reverse diet, metabolism, hormones & all of the comprehensive information on how to truly boost your metabolism then that’s all explained in the how to burn 5000 calorie guide in my body transformation package – www.scottmurrayfitness.com

However, within the fitness & bodybuilding industry, there are a few individuals who would be classified as hardgainers where not matter how many calories they eat for a day they still struggle to gain weight & build muscle. Well, while most of these people are often being lazy & can likely gain weight through a few bulking diet tricks

There are a few like me who, whenever they add calories in a reverse diet fashion, metabolic adaptation kicks in & upregulates = burning off the calories they increase through metabolic adaptations thus leaving them no better off & just at a higher maintenance calories. There is even literature to support this & one of the reasons I ate 5000 calories for a year without any body transformation other than just maintaining my weight. My metabolism & many other people’s metabolism can be very adaptive in response to over feeding & for some, the term hardgainer is actually true & can greatly impact your ability to build muscle

Anyway, I’ll let the vid do the rest so sit back, relax & enjoy me taking you through a full vlog & full day of eating while giving you an insight to how i ate 5000 calories for a year & saw no real body transformation other than just maintaining my weight & a scientific explanation on how it is possible to reverse diet & eat more calories only to then increase your metabolism to burn more calories per day yet ultimately maintaining your weight with a higher metabolism & no real body transformation
