Sometimes the simplest things are the best. This recipe is a childhood memory of my mother’s. Perfectly creamy cashew butter, crisp lettuce and salty bacon made into a sandwich. Her memory is of a dainty tea sandwich, from the once famous Fort Wayne Indiana institution Wolf & Dessaurer’s department store, but I made it into a heartier sandwich on toasted sourdough.
