Badaam pakode ( crispy peanut fritters) in airfryer
Ingredients:
• Peanuts(whole) – 1 cup
• Besan (gram flour) – ½ cup
• Amchur powder – 1 tsp
• Red chili powder – 1 tsp
• Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
• Garam masala – ½ tsp
• Ajwain (carom seeds) – ½ tsp
• Salt – to taste
• Hing (asafoetida) – a pinch
• Water – as needed
• Oil – 1-2 tsp (optional, for coating or brushing)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the batter:
• In a mixing bowl, combine besan, amchur powder, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, ajwain, salt, and hing.
• Add a little water at a time to make a thick batter that coats the peanuts well.
2. Coat the peanuts :
• Add the peanuts to the batter and mix well so that they are evenly coated.
3. Preheat the air fryer:
• Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3-5 minutes.
4. Arrange the peanuts :
• Spread the coated peanuts on the air fryer basket in a single layer.
• Brush lightly with oil for extra crispiness (optional).
5. Cook:
• Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
• Check for crispiness and cook for another 1-2 minutes if needed.
6. Cool and serve:
• Once done, let the peanuts cool slightly for them to become crisp. Serve as a snack or with tea.
