Halloween is coming and some of you might do horror movies marathons, so instead of the regular greasy popcorn, here’s five yummy alternatives!

TO MAKE AIR POPPED POPCORN IN THE MICROWAVE : Place 1/4C of corn kernels in the bottom of a paper bag. Keeping the bag upright, fold the top of the bag down twice, making sure the thickness is at least 1/2 inch in the folds. Place the upright bag into the microwave and heat on high for 2 minutes. Stop the timer if the bag stops popping prior to the 2 minutes. Carefully remove bag as it will be hot.

1. CHILI LIME:
squeeze the juice of 1/2 lime on the popcorn. Add in1 tsp of chili powder and 1 tsp of cumin powder.

2. PEANUT BUTTER & CHOCOLATE: Mix 1 tbsp of peanut butter, 1 tbsp of maple syrup and 1 tsp of carob powder (or cacao) together. Pour the ‘sauce’ on the popcorn and mix well. Bake it for 5 to 10 minutes. Be careful, because it burns really fast. Let it cool for at least 10 minutes.

3. SPICY GARLIC : Mix 1 tsp of sriracha (or more) and 1 tsp of garlic powder with the popcorn.

4. PUMPKIN SPICE : Pour 2 tbsp of maple syrup on the popcorn. Mix and then add 2 tsp of coconut sugar and 1 tsp of pumpkie pie spice (or 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp of ground ginger, 1/8 tsp of ground nutmeg and 1/8 tsp of ground cloves). Mix well. Bake at 350F for 2 to 5 minutes. Let it cool for at least 10 minutes.

5. LEMON PEPPER: Use the juice and the zest of 1/2 lemon and pepper to taste.
