ACCIDENTAL PANEER WRAPS/TACOS
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients:
4 rotis (thin and soft)
200g paneer, crumbled or grated
1 cup sliced onions
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garam masala (optional)
1/2 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil or butter
1 capsicum, thinly sliced
1 tomato, sliced
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Yogurt or a tangy dip (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Filling:
Heat 1 tbsp oil or butter in a pan. Add ginger garlic paste, onions and salt. Fry till onion turn golden brown. Add grated paneer and ground spices. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring well to combine. Remove from heat. In a separate pan add the capsicum and tomatoes; sauté for 2-3 minutes until slightly charred. Sprinkle some salt on top.
2. Assemble the Tacos:
Place a roti on a flat surface. Spread generous amount of grated mozerella/cheddar cheese. Followed by portion of the paneer mixture and also sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the filling.
3. Toast the Tacos:
Fold the roti into a taco shape and lightly press it. Heat a pan or tawa, add a little butter or oil, and toast the tacos on both sides until the cheese melts and the roti turns golden.
4. Serve:
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with yogurt, mint chutney, or any tangy dip of your choice. Enjoy your flavorful paneer tacos with an Indian twist!
