Ingredients:
– 500g flour
– 3/4 tbsp yeast
– 1 tbsp sugar
–Â 2 tbsp olive oil
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 cup warm water (add gradually
until you achieve a smooth dough texture; you might need more)
Instructions:
(1) In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and sugar (without the salt).
(2) Gradually add the warm water while mixing until a dough forms.
(3) Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
(4) Add the olive oil and salt, and knead again until fully incorporated.
(5) Cover and let the dough rest for 40 minutes, or until it doubles in size
Shape the dough into equal balls.
(6)Spread the balls and add a mixture
of zaatar and olive oil.
(7) Place them on the lower rack of the
oven for 10 to 12 minutes if you
want them fluffy and not crispy.
If you prefer them crispy, turn on the upper part of the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
