HOMEMADE CERELAC | BABY FOOD
Homemade Cerelac made using easily available ingredients. Give your baby real food, not fillers. If they say no sugar, why Cerelac? Try this homemade version and feel the difference! This nutritious mix is perfect for babies and even adults as a healthy porridge.
Ingredients:
1 cup Makhana (Fox Nuts)
½ cup Poha (Flattened Rice)
½ cup Oats
8-10 Almonds (check for allergies)
½ tsp Cardamom Powder
Instructions:
1. Dry Roast Ingredients:
In a pan, dry roast makhana on low flame until crisp (3-4 minutes).
Dry roast poha until slightly crispy (1-2 minutes).
Dry roast oats until aromatic (2 minutes).
Dry roast almonds until slightly golden.
2. Cool & Grind:
Let all the ingredients cool completely.
Grind into a fine powder using a mixer. Sieve if needed for an extra fine texture.
3. Add Flavor:
Mix in the cardamom powder for a mild, sweet aroma.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month in a cool, dry place.
How to Prepare for Babies:
Take 1 tbsp of the powder, mix with required amount of boiled sterilized water and mix until smooth and lump free. Serve warm.

You can enhance the flavor of this homemade Cerelac in various ways before serving.
1. Banana Mash – Mix in mashed banana for natural sweetness.
2. Apple Puree – Add boiled and blended apple for a mild, sweet taste.
3. Dates or Fig Paste – Soak dates or figs, blend into a paste, and mix in.
4. Ghee & Jaggery – Add a drop of ghee and a pinch of jaggery for flavor and nutrition.
