Sharing one of my most requested Recipes healthy easy to make homemade MultiGrain Bread. Try it taste it and love it.
Ingredients to make healthy homemade MultiGrain bread :-
1 cup Oats flour, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 1/3 cup Ragi flour, 1/3 cup maize flour, pinch of salt, 1.5 tsp yeast, 1 tsp sugar, 1.5 tsp Chia seeds, 1 tsp flax seeds, 1.5 tsp melon seeds, 1.5 tsp sesame seeds, 2 tbsp milk powder, water as required, some rolled oats & wheat flakes for topping, some milk
Method to make multi grain bread at home :-
In a bowl take 1/2 cup warm water add 1.5 tsp instant yeast and 1 tsp sugar mix well
In another bowl Soak all the seeds with 3-4 tsp hot water and keep both bowl for 15min
In a large bowl add all the flour mix well
After 15 minutes mix instant yeast mixture and seeds mixture into the flour mixture
Add more water gradually and keep mixing, Transfer the mixture on to a flat surface
Grease your hands Knead the dough with stiff hands for 10-15 minutes, If the dough is very sticky add some plain flour or olive oil, if its dry add more water
After 15 minutes of kneading, keep the dough in a greased bowl. Cover the dough with damp cloth and leave it for minimum 40 minutes to raise. After 40 minutes knead the dough again for 5 minutes to realise the excess air. On a flat surface sprinkle some seeds mixture,rolled oats and wheat flakes
Roll the dough in the sprinkled mixture.
Grease a bread baking tin. Transfer the dough into the tin. Grease the top with some milk
Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 180c for 35-40 minutes or until the top is brown
Remove the bread from the oven . Demould the bread when it’s still warm. Wrap the bread in a damp cloth to soften the crust of the bread slightly.
Slice the bread and enjoy it. You can store the bread in a ziplock bag or upto 4 days in fridge.
