Ingredients:
5 bread slices (cut into circles using a small bowl)
½ onion, chopped
½ carrot, grated
½ cup cabbage, shredded
½ cup spinach or coriander leaves, chopped
4-5 green chilies, finely chopped
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tbsp red chili flakes
1 tbsp peri-peri masala
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 tbsp salt (adjust to taste)
1 cup besan (gram flour)
Water (as needed)
Oil (for frying)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Bread:
Use a small bowl to cut the bread slices into circular shapes. Discard the edges or save them for another use.
2. Make the Batter:
In a mixing bowl, add chopped onions, grated carrot, shredded cabbage, and chopped spinach or coriander leaves.
Add green chilies, coriander seeds, red chili flakes, peri-peri masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt.
Add besan (gram flour) and mix everything well.
Gradually add water while stirring to form a thick, smooth batter.
3. Coat the Bread:
Take the bread circles and dip them into the prepared batter, ensuring both sides are evenly coated.
4. Fry the Bread:
Heat oil in a pan on medium flame.
Place the coated bread circles in the pan and fry until golden brown, flipping occasionally for even cooking.
5. Serve:
Remove the crispy bread circles using a skimmer.
Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
