Hi, Kristy in the Rada Kitchen, and today I want to show you how to make those really cute Flower Petal Rice Cake Treats. It would be great for a healthy class snack. I got it out of this recipe book, Class Treats, Bake Sales & Birthday Parties. It’s really simple, all you need are rice cakes, strawberries, kiwi, and some vanilla yogurt.

And with the Peeling Paring knife I’m going to cut it into quarter inch slices. You really only need one for the center. And then you need about two to three strawberries and we’re just going to cut it length-wise. And we’re not going to use these end pieces. Again, about a quarter inch. This knife is just the right length to cut strawberries or any other smaller fruits.

Alright, so there’s our petals. And then with the yogurt you take a rice cake and just spread the yogurt on that. Actually, you can use any flavor yogurt that you like. This is vanilla but you can use strawberry or any flavor. And then you put your kiwi in the middle and then just. After you cut the strawberries, your children could help you make these. It’s a super healthy treat. Low calorie, low fat, really impressive. And that’s one of the recipes in our cookbook titled Class Treats, Bake Sales & Birthday Parties.
