Tofu Besan Chilla recipe
Preparation time: 15 mins Cooking time: 20 mins Makes 6
Ingredients
½ cup Besan | gram flour
1 cup chopped spinach
½ block tofu
2 green chilli
½ cup water
½ tsp ajwain
¼ tsp turmeric powder
Salt as needed
1 onion finely chopped
¼ cup grated carrot
Method:
• Add gram flour in the mixie jar
• Add chopped spinach, tofu, green chili and ½ cup water.
• Grind into a smooth paste
• Transfer to a bowl
• Add ajwain, turmeric powder and salt.
• Add finely chopped onion, grated carrot and mix well.
• Add water to adjust the consistency if needed
• Tofu chila batter is ready.
• Add a ladle full of batter on a hot tawa.
• Spread the batter
• Drizzle oil
• Cook on both sides
• Take out and repeat to finish.
• Tofu spinach besan chilla ready
Notes:
1. You can add grated beetroot instead of carrot
2. You can replace paneer instead of tofu
3. The batter can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 days
