Quick & Healthy Moong Dal Chilla/Cheela.

Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Chilla Batter:
1 cup moong dal , soaked for 3-4 hours
1 green chili, finely chopped
1/2 inch ginger, grated
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Water, as needed
For the Stuffing:
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup capsicum , finely chopped
1/2 cup carrot,
grated
100 grams paneer grated
2 tablespoons fresh coriander finely chopped
Salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
Ghee, for cooking

Instructions:

Blend the soaked moong dal with green chili, ginger, cumin seeds, and salt in a blender.
Add a little water to make a smooth batter.
Transfer the batter to a bowl.

In a bowl, combine the onion, capsicum, carrot, and paneer.
Add coriander, salt, and black pepper powder, and mix well.

Heat a non-stick griddle (tava) and add a little ghee.
Pour a ladleful of batter onto the griddle and spread it evenly.
Spread the prepared stuffing over the chilla and gently press it down.
Drizzle ghee around the edges of the chilla.
Cook the chilla on both sides until golden brown and crisp.

Serve the stuffed moong dal chilla hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
