# Leftover Onion Cheese Sandwich Recipe
*Ingredients*
– 2 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
– 1-2 tablespoons of leftover caramelized onions (from last night’s dinner or previous meal)
– 1-2 slices of cheese (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or provolone)
– 1 tablespoon of butter or non-stick cooking spray
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Optional: lettuce, tomato, or other toppings of your choice
*Instructions*
1. Preheat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
2. Butter or spray one side of each bread slice.
3. Place one bread slice, buttered side down, in the pan.
4. Top with leftover caramelized onions, cheese, and any desired toppings.
5. Place the second bread slice, buttered side up, on top of the filling.
6. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
7. Carefully flip the sandwich over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the other side is also golden brown.
