Learn how to make healthy and delicious green moong dal at home. This protein-rich moong dal curry is perfect for lunch or dinner, served with rice or roti.

Green Moong Dal 🌿

Ingredients :
1/2 Cup Green Moong Dal
1tbsp Ghee
1/2tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2tsp Cumin Seeds
1/2 Onion
1 Tomato
1tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 Chillies
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
1tsp Red Chilli Powder
1tsp Coriander Powder
1/2tsp Cumin Powder
1.5tsp Salt
1/2tsp Garam Masala
2 Cups Water or as required
Chopped Coriander

Method :
1. Soak green moong dal overnight or for minimum 2 hours.
2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add mustard and cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
3. Add chopped onion and saute till translucent.
4. Add chopped tomato and mix well.
5. Add ginger garlic paste and chillies. Cook till tomatoes are soft.
6. Add turmeric, red chilli, coriander and cumin powder. Cook till oil separates.
7. Add soaked moong dal and mix well.
8. Add water, salt and garam masala. Mix well & bring to a boil.
9. Preasure cook for 2 whistles till moong dal is soft.
10. Garnish with chopped coriander.
