Desi Protein Taco Wrap Recipe (Makes 2)
Ingredients:
• 80g boiled kala chana (black chickpeas)
• 25g low-fat paneer (roasted)
• 2 wheat rotis (25g total) + 7g soya flour (for pressing)
• 1 tbsp onion
• 1 tbsp grated carrot
• 2 cherry tomatoes
• 1 tsp lemon juice + pinch of salt (for pickled onion)
• 1 tsp crushed peanuts
• 1 tsp BBQ sauce (optional)
• Spices: cumin powder, chaat masala, chili powder, ginger-garlic paste
• Lettuce (optional)
Raita Side:
• 70g curd
• 20g grated beetroot
• Salt + cumin
Steps:
1. Blend boiled chana with onion, tomato, carrot, spices till coarse.
2. Form a ball. Press into roti using a sandwich press or tava with a spatula.
3. Cook both sides till golden and crispy.
4. Load with paneer, lettuce, pickled onions, BBQ, and serve with beetroot raita.
