Cottage Cheese Bagels Recipe that is Quick, Healthy & Delicious!

These viral cottage cheese bagels are high-protein, easy to make, perfect for a healthy snack or breakfast, as well as meal prepping!

**Our finished result was not done in one shot (third time was the charm actually). Altough this is a simple recipe, there was some trial and error. This recipe is simple because there are only a few ingredients, no fancy equipment is needed, and it is relatively quick to make. We played around with resting the “bagel dough”, using a wet or dry hand to mix the “bagel dough”, straining the cottage cheese for less moisture, and shaping the “bagel dough”. **

What we learned:
– Resting the bagel dough did not seem to matter.
– Overworking the bagel dough does limit the overall size of your cottage cheese bagel.
– A wet hand helps prevent dough loss and excess dough from sticking to your hand.
– A little more moisture (from cottage cheese) lead to a fluffier cottage cheese bagel.
– Forming a larger center hole will help mantain your cottage cheese bagels shape.
– The cottage cheese bagels that do not look like bagels still taste delicious.

What you need:
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
1 cup Cottage Cheese
2 tsp Baking Powder
3/4 tsp Sea Salt

(Toppings Optional)
1 Egg
Seasoning

Mix dry ingredients until well incorporated. Add drained cottage cheese to mix. Mix with fork until crumbles form and most of the flour coats the cottage cheese. Once cottage cheese is coated mix with clean hands to form a dough ball. Once dough ball is formed, cover and set aside for 10-15 minutes. Cut dough into 4 even pieces. Roll into smaller dough ball and set aside for 10-15 minutes. Put holes through middle of dough and rough shape your bagel. Egg wash and top with your desired seasoning. Air Fry at 300 degrees for 20 minutes.
