📌 Ingredients You’ll Need:
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup warm water
½ cup warm milk
2 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon room temperature butter
1 tablespoon instant yeast
1 tablespoon salt

Instructions
1. Activate the Yeast (if using active dry)
In a large bowl, mix warm water, honey, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
If using instant yeast, skip the waiting — just mix it directly with the flour later.
2. Make the Dough
Add , salt, milk, and whole wheat flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a shaggy dough forms then add butter.
Knead on a lightly floured surface (or with a dough hook) for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
3. First Rise
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
4. Shape the Loaf
Punch down the dough to release air. Shape into a loaf and place into a greased 9×5-inch pan.
5. Second Rise
Cover and let rise for 30–45 minutes until the dough crowns about 1 inch above the pan, brush with a tablespoon honey diluted in four tablespoons water.
6. Bake
Preheat oven to 170C (350°F). Bake for 30 minutes minutes, or until golden brown. Immediately brush with left over honey and water mix.
7. Cool & Serve
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice once fully cooled — unless you can’t resist a warm, buttered piece!
