This Vegetable Upma (Rava Upma) is a classic South Indian breakfast recipe – light, nutritious and full of flavors. Tempered with curry leaves, ginger, green chillies and loaded with colorful veggies, this wholesome dish is quick to make and super delicious. 🌿🥕🫑

🥗 Ingredients (for 2 servings)
2 tbsp Oil
½ tsp Mustard Seeds (Rai)
½ tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Few Curry Leaves
1 tbsp Peanuts
1 tbsp Cashews
1 tsp Chana Dal
1 tsp Urad Dal
1 Onion (finely chopped)
1 tsp Ginger (grated)
2 Green Chillies (chopped)
¼ cup Beans (chopped)
¼ cup Carrot (chopped)
¼ cup Capsicum (chopped)
1 Tomato (chopped)
¼ cup Green Peas
1 cup Rava / Sooji
2½ cups Water
Salt – to taste
½ tsp Black Pepper
Fresh Coriander Leaves
1 Lemon juice

🍳 Method (Step by Step)
1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, peanuts & cashews.
2. Add chana dal & urad dal, sauté till golden.
3. Add onions, ginger & green chillies, cook till onions turn soft.
4. Add beans, carrot, capsicum, tomato & peas. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
5. Add roasted rava/sooji, water, salt & black pepper. Stir well.
6. Cook until fluffy, garnish with coriander leaves & a squeeze of lemon. 🍋
7. Serve hot & enjoy your healthy breakfast!
