🥖✨ Stop buying bread — make your own sourdough at home! In this video, I’ll guide you step by step through baking the perfect sourdough bread. With no kneading needed, you’ll get fluffy, airy, and flavorful bread that everyone will love. Topped with sesame and nigella seeds, this loaf is as beautiful as it is delicious.
Ingredients:
Bread flour: 200 g
Whole wheat flour: 50 g
Cold water with ice: 215 g
Active natural starter (levain): 75 g
Salt: 6 g
Topping: sesame seeds & nigella seeds
Instructions (simplified):
1. Mix flours, water, and starter until no dry flour remains. Rest 30–60 min.
2. Add salt, mix, and lightly slap the dough until absorbed. Transfer to an oiled bowl.
3. Perform 3–4 folds (stretch & fold from all sides) with 30 min rest between each.
4. Once dough doubles, shape it into a ball, rest briefly, then coat in sesame & nigella seeds.
5. Place in a banneton. Rest 30–90 min at room temp, then refrigerate 18–24 hrs.
6. Bake in preheated Dutch oven:
20 min covered at 250°C
15 min uncovered at 230°C
7. Let cool completely before slicing. Enjoy! 😋
