To Make Cooked Peas

White Peas – 1 Cup
Potato – 2 Nos
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 Tsp
Salt – 1 Tsp

To Make Ragda

Oil – 2 Tbsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 Tsp
Onion – 2 Nos
Green Chilli – 3 Nos
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tsp
Tomato – 1 Tsp
Salt – 1 Tsp
Chilli Powder – 1 Tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp
Cumin Powder – 1 Tsp
Garam Masala – 1/4 Tsp
Juice Of 1/2 Lemon
Coriander Leaves

Method

Soak a cup of white peas in water for about 8 hours.

Once soaked, the peas will soften and plump up beautifully. Next, pressure cook the soaked peas with some chopped potatoes, turmeric, and salt for 3 whistles.

Once the pressure is released, you’ll have perfectly cooked peas and potatoes.

In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, chopped onions, green chilies, and sauté until golden.

Then, add ginger-garlic paste and sauté..

Add chopped tomatoes and mix again.

Once the tomatoes soften, mix in the spices—chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt.

Add the cooked peas and potatoes to this mix and cook for a few minutes.

Garnish with fresh coriander, lemon juice, and serve with sev and a sprinkle of chaat masala.
