Ingredients:
Paneer/ cottage cheese- 400 grams (Roast in butter/ghee)(Roasting is optional)
Spinach paste:
Palak/ spinach- 2 medium bunch (Blanch spinach leaves in boiling water+ 1 tsp salt for 2 to 5 minutes and transfer to ice cold water before grinding)
Green chilies- 2 (medium sized)
Tomato- 1 (medium sized)
Ginger- 1 inch
Garlic- 6-8 cloves

Palak Paneer gravy:
Oil- 1 1/2 tbsp
Butter- 1 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Bay leaf- 1
Onion- 1 (large sized) (chopped)
Palak/ spinach paste
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder- 2 tsp (optional for spice)(add more chillies in paste instead, if you like to retain more of green color)
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Salt- to taste
Water- 3/4 cup (adjust to required thickness)
Roasted or normal Paneer – 400 grams
Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
Fresh cream/ Coriander leaves/ Kasuri Methi- for garnish
