This healthy, gluten-free burger recipe is a game-changer, and it’s perfect for lunch or a cozy night in. We’ll be using plantain for the “bun,” which makes it so much lighter and full of flavor. I promise you’ll love the taste, whether you’re a fan of healthy options or just looking to switch things up from the classic version. Plus, we’ll be making some delicious sweet potato fries on the side!
Here’s the recipe breakdown:
🍔 For the “Buns”:
– Take a green plantain, cut it into pieces, and boil with a pinch of salt until soft.
– Put it in a food processor with a little salt and blend until it forms a dough.
– Shape into buns, flatten, and air-fry or bake at 320°F (160°C) until golden. You can spritz with a bit of olive oil for an extra-crispy finish!
🍔 For the Burger:
– Cook your patty in a pan to your liking.
– Melt cheese on top while still in the pan.
– Now it’s time to assemble your burger with all your favorite toppings!
🍟 For the Fries:
– Cut a sweet potato into fries.
– Rinse, pat dry, and air-fry.
