Kala chana salad is a tangy salad extremely tasty and easy to make. It is low in fat rich in protein and fiber and have very low glycemic index. Black chana is dark brown in color and smaller in size then chickpeas. It is also known as Bengal gram. Boiled chana is blend and have a nutty taste but with the addition of different vegetables and spices it gives a wonderful flavor.

Ingredients

Boiled black chana, Oil, Onion, Tomato, Cumin seeds, Asafoetida, Coriander leaves, Red chilli powder, Coriander cumin powder, Salt, Turmeric, Lemon juice, Green chillies, Sev Pomegranate, Mint leaves

Recipe

1. In a pan heat little oil and add cumin seeds and Asafoetida mix it add boiled chana and mix it.
2. Now add all spices Red chilli powder, Coriander cumin powder, Salt, Turmeric and mix it close the lid cook it for 5 minutes.
3. Take it out in a bowl and add rest of the ingredients onion, Tomato, Mint leaves, Coriander leaves, Pomegranate, Lemon juice mix all the ingredients.
4. Take it out in a serving bowl sprinkle some sev on top and serve it hot or cold.
